5 Impact of BravoAdvantage 16 The whole user interface is changing on 3 rd February. This may disorientate users, and importantly suppliers, for a short period. We recommend that no tenders are set close from the 3 rd to the 5 th February. Suppliers might require a little extra time with navigating the new UI in order to complete their RFX response therefore, any tenders that do close, we recommend that they are not opened directly after the closing time. The functionality of the portal is still the same, users should be able to navigate with ease within a short period of time. 5

7 Helping you to prepare for the release To ensure that buyers and suppliers have additional assistance for navigation of the new user interface, we will be providing the following material: Short web videos on basic navigation of the modules Sourcing Projects / Workflows Contract Lifecycle Manager Supplier Introduction Difference Training PDFs Desk References for quick reference Materials will be available on the Dashboard under Quick links. 8 What you have already seen For the release of BravoAdvantage 16, the following communication has been sent to clients: 2 nd December to primary/secondary contacts and super users via and BEN introducing BravoAdvantage 16 and highlighting release dates 2 nd December 2015 Final of multiple IE8 removal of support notifications via Ben and including pop-up alerts posted on client portals end of December th January Invitation to BravoAdvantage webinars to all Buyers. Further reminder s will be sent. 11 th January Formal notification of release timelines to all primary/secondary contacts and super users via and BEN 8

10 Your responsibility as Super User/ Primary Contact As the Super User or primary contact for your organisation, it is your responsibility to: Ensure that all BravoAdvantage 16 communications are appropriately shared with your Buyer Community. Review the closing dates of tenders within the release week and consider extending these dates. BravoAdvantage 16 impacts the whole User Interface and will require a short period of adjustment. 10

12 Internet Explorer 8 no longer supported In line with Microsoft s announcement that their support for older browser versions would cease from January 12 th 2016 onwards BravoAdvantage 16 is not compatible with Internet Explorer 8. The internet browsers that are fully supported in the new release are: Internet Explorer 10 Internet Explorer 11 Google Chrome Mozilla Firefox (ESR) 31+ Safari 8 for MacOS Please note that Version 9 is not recommended. If your buyers are using IE 9, please ensure that Compatibility Mode is deactivated. We strongly recommend that your settings are reviewed with your IT department ahead of the BravoAdvantage 16 release on the 3rd February BravoAdvantage 16 is now available in your PREP site. The technical requirements for the new release can be found under the System Requirements link located on the bottom of the Home Page. 12
13 JAVA Applet Removal To ensure ongoing compliance with evolving web standards we have reduced the systems reliance on Java applets. Where Java functionality remains, the system will offer both a Java and non-java solution. Prior to BA16, a Java applet was used for: Uploading and downloading files. TCO worksheets Advanced Scenario Analysis To display project Gantt charts. In some cases, the functionality previously delivered by applets has been completely replaced by newer standards. For example, files can now be uploaded using drag and drop technology and mass downloading files is completed via a ZIP file export. 13

15 Live Difference Webinar Sessions in January With the release of BravoAdvantage 16 on the 3 rd of February 2016, we invite you to join us for a webinar in order to familiarise yourself with the changes. These will take place at 1pm on the 20 th, 21 st, 27 th and 28 th January. The webinar will cover: An introduction and demonstration of: BravoAdvantage 16 covering the key user interface changes The new BravoAdvantage Source2Pay process The new Savings Management capabilities DataMart Report Designer Other General Enhancements There will be a chance for a Q&A session at the end of the webinar. The webinar is targeted at all users so please feel free to share with any other users in your organisation. The webinar will additionally be available to view on demand after the sessions. 16 Ongoing Communication Plans 6 weeks Prior Communication sent to the client project manager outlining the date for the upgrade and the details of BravoAdvantage 16 4 weeks Prior Project leads can access their PREP environment to review the new release. Communication sent to buyers who have been active in the last six months to inform them of the release date and times. Communication to buyers with tenders closing in the week of release. 2 weeks Prior Pop up on the Home Page of client s portal with details of the upgrade and the maintenance window. All system alerts display details of the upgrade. Helpdesk recording will provide the dates of the new release. 16

18 Release Date for BravoAdvantage 16 BravoSolution will shortly be upgrading all customers to the latest version of the Platform, BravoAdvantage The upgrade window is scheduled as follows: Start: End: Tuesday 2 nd February 2016 (12 midnight GMT) Wednesday 3 rd February 2016 (12:05 am GMT) IMPORTANT: The scheduled maintenance window will take place at midnight on the 2 nd February 2016 when the system will be restarted with five (5) minutes of interruption. 18
