3 Notes for installation and use These notes take priority over statements made in other documents. Please read the notes carefully because they contain important information for installation and use of SINUMERIK Integrate. The SINUMERIK Integrate software is called SI in the following. Please read these notes before the installation. Enabling and activating SI components under SINUMERIK Operate for 828D & 840D sl After an Operate update of software version from 4.5 SP3 (or higher) or a new installation of software version 4.7 SP4 for 840D sl or software version 4.7 SP4 for 828D, the required SI components are already available in SINUMERIK Operate, but still have to be activated and enabled. Only then are the SI functions available. Please read the SI Installation Manual, which describes how SI is activated and enabled under SINUMERIK Operate. Page 3 / 10 Unrestricted / Siemens AG 2017

4 Notes and supplementary conditions when reloading HMI archives for 840D sl under Linux Under Linux when updating to software version 4.7 SP4 Precondition: An HMI archive was created under software version 4.5 SP3 or higher Assumption: The software has been updated under Linux from 4.5 SP3 (or higher) to software version 4.7 SP4. An HMI archive, which was created under software version 4.5 SP3 (or higher), has been reloaded. Note: All SI products, SI Operate clients and SI-specific softkeys are available again after reloading the HMI archive. 1. After reloading the HMI archive, please restart the HMI. 2. After this, settings in the epsconfig.user.xml, epsconfig.manufact.xml or epsconfig.individual.xml may have to be imported from the epsconfig.*.xml.invalid or be re-edited (parameters such as URLs, logging, etc.). This is only the case, however, if these files epsconfig.*.xml.invalid are available. 3. BaseSetup should be reinstalled. (Uninstallation and installation). 4. Finally, restart the HMI. Under Linux during a new installation of software version 4.7 SP4 using the "Full Restore" function Precondition: An HMI archive was created under software version 4.5 SP3 or higher Assumption: New installation of software version 4.7 SP4 and subsequent reloading of the HMI archive. HMI restart has been performed after the reload. Note: If SI products and SI functions were activated when the HMI archive was created, they are available after the reload when the following adaptations have been made. 1. After reloading the HMI archive, please restart the HMI. 2. After this, settings in the epsconfig.user.xml, epsconfig.manufact.xml or epsconfig.individual.xml may have to be imported from the epsconfig.*.xml.invalid or be re-edited (parameters such as URLs, logging, etc.). This is only the case, however, if these files epsconfig.*.xml.invalid are available. 3. Then you must uninstall all clients (MMT, MMP, BaseSetup, etc.). HMI restarts are required in between. Uninstallation can be found under SoftKey App installation. 4. Uninstall the "Installer.tar.gz" and restart the HMI again 5. Install the "Installer.tar.gz" and install the "Basesetup.tar.gz" with the "App Installation" softkey 6. Finally, restart the HMI. 7. If necessary, install the Operate clients (e.g. for MMT, MMP & AMP) individually and restart the HMI after each Operate client installation. It is recommended that you create an HMI archive in software version 4.7 SP4 if further new installations based on 4.7 SP4 with customer-specific SI adaptations are planned. 5 Notes and supplementary conditions when reloading HMI archives for the 840D sl under Windows Under Windows during an update to software version 4.7 SP4 Precondition: An HMI archive was created under software version 4.5 SP3 or higher Assumption: Software update under Windows from 4.5 SP3 (or higher) to software version 4.7 SP4 has been performed. Reloading of an HMI archive which has been created in a software version 4.5 SP3 (or higher). Note: All SI products, SI Operate clients and SI-specific customer adaptations and softkeys are available again after reloading. 1. After reloading the HMI archive, please restart the HMI. 2. After this, settings in the epsconfig.user.xml, epsconfig.manufact.xml or epsconfig.individual.xml may have to be imported from the epsconfig.*.xml.invalid or be re-edited (parameters such as URLs, logging, etc.). Now restart the HMI, and restart the uninstallation of the "Installer.tar.gz". 6. Restart the HMI again 7. Install "Installer.tar.gz" 8. Select and install the "Basesetup.tar.gz" setup file with the "App Installation" softkey 9. Restart the HMI again 10. Install the Operate clients (e.g. for MMT, MMP & AMP) individually and restart the HMI after each Operate client installation (information on installing Operate clients can be found in the SI Installation Manual) It is recommended that you create an HMI archive in software version 4.7 SP4 if further new installations based on 4.7 SP4 with customer-specific SI adaptations are planned. Unencrypted data can occur if the power fails while data is being created After the data backup, some of the offline data are missing (SW) SINUMERIK Operate client: Starting behavior To avoid having to make several attempts to establish a connection, the starting of the SINUMERIK Operate client for machines that are connected once to the SIP server must be configured such that the local client functions are also immediately available for separate machines. The starting behavior of SIP functions can be set as follows in order to avoid that the SIP functions start with a delay. There are 2 parameters that can be entered in the epsconfig.user.xml for SINUMERIK Operate embedded: The file is in the cfg folder of the SINUMERIK HMI user paths. offlinemode: The offline mode is active (true) or inactive (false) as soon as timeout occurs for a web request. trybootoffline: If a boot script is available, then the offline mode is already active when booting; the first attempt to establish a connection is only made at the first synchronization. 10 These parameters function from SIP client MMT HMI archive reloading to PCU after SinOp update has errors: some files cannot be overwritten When an HMI archive is reloaded, error messages must be acknowledge d manually. The reloading of an HMI archive on a PCU after a SINUMERIK Operate Update is faulty: Some files cannot be overwritten. Press the "Skip" softkey, the reloading of the archive is then carried out without errors SinInt - the SINint softkey is only active on Windows XP after an HMI restart Without an HMI restart, the Sinumerik Integrate softkey is not available. If no connection exists from the PCU (Windows XP) to an NCU, the HMI must be restarted so that the Sinumerik Integrate softkey is available. After the activation of the Sinumerik Integrate via the machine data, the HMI must be restarted If usage is blocked, the user can go into the "User menu", but cannot return. If the use of Sinumerik Integrate is deactivated ("Block usage" softkey), then the "User menu" dialog should not be subsequently used. User menu dialog cannot be used when Sinumerik Integrate is deactivated, because it is no longer possible to exit this dialog. A changeover outside of SINUMERIK Integrate is possible, however. If the User menu is nevertheless activated when usage is blocked, the machine dialog can be reactivated with F10 + F1. SINUMERIK Integrate can only be activated and used after an HMI restart.
