2 Before you start Read the instructions contained in this Installation Manual carefully. If you have any additional questions, you can request more information through our Ecoembes Customer Service Line: Before running the installation program, CLOSE all open Windows program.. 2. If an error occurs during the update, exit the installation and contact the Customer Service Line at the number given above. 3. The installation program will detect whether Ecoembes 16.X, Ecoembes 17.X or Ecoembes 17.X is already installed, and will also ask if you wish to update any databases found. If no databases are found on any of the PC drives, or if you uninstalled the previous version(s), the program will assume it is a new install. 4. You should restart the PC once the installation or upgrade is complete if requested by the installer. Installation requirements Hardware PC with Pentium or similar with at least 2GB of RAM and 512MB of free hard drive space. On 64-bit systems, at least 3 GB of RAM and 512MB of free hard drive space. The application will not work properly on systems acting as servers. Software Windows 7 sp1 x32 y x64 bits, Windows 8 x64 bits, Windows 8.1 y x64, Windows 10 x64. (See for Windows Vista/7/8/8.1 appendix ) Screen resolution of 1024x768 for 15 and 17 screens, 1080x1024 for 19 screens, 1280x768 or 1280x800 for wide-screen and/or laptop screens. For 15% and 17 displays, make sure that a normal font type is selected. In case you use Office 2010 make sure the minimun versión is SP2 ( ). By default this version will look for and update previous versions of the Ecoembes software. Deletion of previous versions When updating from versions older than , the update program will NOT delete either the previous versions or their associated files from your system. 4.
