All creative content is subject to approval. RESTRICTIONS APPLICABLE TO ALL FORMATS Repetitive, rapid flashing or blinking animations are not allowed. Pixelated or unclear images will be rejected. References to Discovery Networks and its brands is prohibited without prior consent. Images mimicking HTML, JavaScript, operating system or antivirus functionalities such as drop down menus, text boxes, scroll down menus, radio buttons, close buttons, dialog boxes, virus warnings, etc. that do not function as implied. Landing page URL s should not be embedded within Flash/Rich Media assets. File size limits must be adhered to. Ads must not employ rapid animation or strobe effects. All click through URL s must open in a new window.

ADDITONAL FLASH SPECIFICATIONS Flash creatives hosted by Discovery should contain a clickable layer and the following ActionScript to enable click tracking. Without this code we will be unable to track clicks and provide reporting. Landing page URL s must not be hardcoded. The ad expansion must be limited to a maximum of 15 seconds before the ad retracts allowing the page to roll up. Along with automatic close functionality an open/close button is mandatory. Client tracking can be implemented via a 1x1 pixel and click command. ADDITIONAL FLASH REQUIREMENTS To enable the ad unit to push down content, a call to an external JavaScript method DSCPushdown.alter must be made by the ad unit. This is located in our ad code and should be called on expand & retract events. Please see opposite for an explanation of the parameters DSCPushdown.alter expects. ** Please note Pushdowns are only available on Real Time Italy EXTERNAL JS INFORMATION Method Name: DSCPushdown.alter(Height) Height: An integer value which determines ad container height. This should be set on expand events to 418/415px and 66/90px on retract. The alter method can be called multiple times on either expand or retract events, each time increasing or decreasing the height value to give an animated open/close effect. A timer must also be implemented to automatically call the alter method in order to close the pushdown after a maximum of 15 seconds. Client tracking can be implemented via a 1x1 pixel and click command. Background will be inserted with a fixed position and will stay in view when page scrolls. Please consult your account manager and ad ops department prior to campaign launch to ensure compliance. IMPORTANT DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS Background design must not interfere with site logo. Branded elements and product images should sit below site logo. Artwork behind content or main content container is not permitted. Background must compliment the sites look and feel. All designs must fade out to a solid background colour matched to the original site background. All designs must be approved by Discovery Italy editorial team. REALTIME ITALY SKIN DIMENSIONS DESIGN NOTES The main content container of the site is 990px wide, centred on the browser window with rounded corners (top left and right, rounding radius of 10px) and the distance from the top of the browser window is 40px. Artwork behind main content container must be white and must start 50px from the top margin of the browser (see example above). Creativity must keep the registration and login area at the top right of the page clearly visible, with white background or light grey solid colour (see example above). Please send 3 rd party ad tags in a plain text file as an email attachment. Sending tags in the body of an email can cause additional carriage to be inserted which could corrupt the ad codes.
