Increased secrity throgh minimizing potentially disrptive fnctionality Decrease risk of data theft throgh disabling of certain featres Increased prodctivity throgh streamlined application se Ease of application configration across mltiple sers (simple GUI) Partial Import/Export of Configrations The ability to export individal sections of a configration, for example a node containing the setp or lockdown of a particlar application, enabling administrators to bild a library of configration snippets. These partial configrations can then be imported into the same, or a different, configration at a later date. Significant decrease in configration maintenance Ability to share or swap configration templates with other Environment Manager sers Cstom Rles The ability to set the reslt of a rle via a cstom script (VBScript or Java Script). This enables the administrator to create (or copy) a script in the EM console which is evalated at rntime to determine if the actions to which it is attached shold rn. This provides the ability to cater for crrently navailable rles inclding registry vale existence or time/date. Increased flexibility in configration parameters Enables implementation of a wide range of configration rles Cstom Actions The ability to rn a script as part of the logon/logoff or startp/ shtdown process. This enables the administrator to create (or copy) a script into the EM console which wold be exected as part of logon/logoff or startp/shtdown process. This provides the ability to cater for crrently non-existent actions inclding MAPI settings, Windows XP Firewall control or for scripting other AppSense prodcts sch as Application Manager. Increased flexibility in configration parameters Enables implementation of a wide range of configration rles Improve efficiency of logon/off scripts Configre Windows Firewall for added protection Configre Windows Update service to ensre compters remain p-to-date Configre Shadow Copies enabling backp and control of corporate content Drag & Drop Spport Drag and Drop or Ct/Copy/Paste capability allows yo to move sbnodes and actions between nodes and also files from within Windows Explorer into a list dialog within the EM console, for example Cstom Rles and Cstom Action dialogs. Ease of se improvements Easier/qicker configration maintenance Find & Replace The ability to atomatically find specific configration parameters, sch as server names or IP addresses, and change them easily withot having to perform a manal search throgh the whole configration.
