SHINEBOX SETUP: 1. Always assemble and power the master ShineBox before adding end nodes to the network. Assemble all ShineBoxes intended for use by attaching antenna. 2. Connect the power supply to the usb power connecter on the front of the ShineBox. You can also use the portable battery bank to power the ShineBox 3. Connect lighting fixture(s) to the ShineBox using a 5-pin DMX cable. Connect via the DMX-OUT on the ShineBox and DMX-IN on the lighting fixture, dimmer or transmitter. Make sure each fixture is set to the desired starting DMX address and in the appropriate DMX mode. Reference the fixture s user manual for more information and make sure that the starting addresses for each fixture is set so that there will be no overlap of addresses. 4. Daisy-chainup to one full DMX universe of lights by connecting to the DMX-OUT port of the fixture connected to the ShineBox. If the ShineBox is connected to a dimmer rack or LumenRadio transmitter. 5. On your ipodtouch or iphone go to Settings > Wi-Fi > Select a network. Connect to network ShineBox-Kitxxx. The password will be provided in your rental kit. 6. Launch the Juicer app and begin juicing your set!
7. You can share Projects with their current feature settings via email, text message or airdrop. In order to do this, tap the share button in the bottom left corner of the Project Overview screen and then select the project you want to share. Choose the method you would like to use to share the project and enter the appropriate information. JUICER: PROJECT CREATION LaunchJuicer and enter with master control. 1. Create a new project by taping the (+) button on the bottom right corner of the screen, then. select PROJECT 2. Tap the DMX Bridge button. For Bridge Name type ShineBox, for Universe type 1.
3. Type in the desired name for the Project and tap CREATE 4. Once the project is created you will be prompted to the SETUP screen where you can begin patching your light fixtures. In order to control and fixture, a profile for that fixture must be patched to the DMX Universe. 5. To toggle between Projects, Setup & Scratchpadtap the menu bar in the top right corner of the screen. JUICER: SETUP (PATCHING) 1. In order to control and fixture, a profile for that fixture must be patched to the DMX Universe. To make this process simpler we represent one universe of DMX in a similar way to one year on a calendar app. Each address represents one control feature (intensity, color, color temperature, etc.) and is similar to a day in a year. Each lighting fixture is treated similarly to a multi-day calendar event (like your last commercial shoot or trip to Tahiti)
2. Tap the portion of the DMX grid containing the desired starting address for lighting fixture you are patching. 3. Scroll through the profiles on the left to find the corresponding profile. Make sure the profile selected corresponds with correct mode on the fixture you are using. For example, the Skypanel has 16 different modes that can be selected on the fixture.
4. Highlight chosen profile and drag over desired address. 5. Enter desired name. Select icon and color to represent lighting fixture. Tap PATCH
6. You can adjust the starting address by scrolling through the start address menu. 7. You can patch multiple fixtures of the same model by increasing the quantity and can leave empty addresses in between the m by entering a value next to gap. Remember to make sure the starting address of each light matches where the profile is patched. 8. To unpatch tap the light s icon on the patching grid and tap UNPATCH. In that screen you can also change the name, color and shape representing the fixture.
JUICER: CREATE CUSTOM PROFILES 1. If a lighting fixture you want to control doesn t have an existing profile you can easily create a custom profile. To do so, tap + Custom Profile in the bottom left corner of the Setup screen. 2. In the Create Custom Light screen enter in the Fixture Name, Mode, Manufacturer and DMX Footprint (This is the number of DMX addresses the light utilizes for control). Scroll through the feature options and select which features will be used for each address. Intensity - Dimming W - White Light for RGBW or RGBAW control R - Red for RGB modes G - Green for RGB mode or Green/Magenta for hue control B - Blue for RGB modes A - Amber for RGBAW control Color Temp - Kelvin range for tungsten to daylight blending control 3. Tap the + icon to select desired feature.
4. Scroll down to select the next feature and tap the + icon again. Repeat until all features are added. 5. Tap next to enter in the DMX values. Refer to the lighting fixtures user manual for DMX mapping information. 6. Enter Offset for each feature. Enter 1 for the base address, enter 2 the 2nd address and so on. 7. Select 1 or 2 bytes for each address. 1 byte for 8 bit blending and 2 bytes for 16 bit blending. 8. Enter the minimum and maximum DMX value for each address. 0 to 255 is the common range for 8 bit DMX control.
9. The Color Temp feature allows you to enter the minimum and maximum kelvin range of the fixture for precise color temperature control. 10. Tap create to save profile in the profile list. Custom profiles will now appear in the profile list for every project you create. 11. Patch the light to the desired address as you would any profile. 12. To delete a custom profile find that profile in the list and tap the trash icon. JUICER: SCRATCHPAD (CONTROL) 1. To get to Scratchpad and toggle between the Projects, Setup and Scratchpad screens tap the menu tab on the top right corner of the screen.
2. Select the light(s) you want to control. Tap the yellow slider button in the bottom right corner of the screen. 3. Drag the sliders up and down to adjust intensity, color and color temp or tap on the number value at the top to enter desired values. 4. To set the levels and return to scratchpad tap the checkmark button, to undo one adjustment tap the arrow button, to revert to prior settings tap the X button
5. Any lights highlighted in Scratchpad will be controlled on the slider screen but only their common features can be adjusted JUICER: COLLECTIONS 1. Collections allow you to quickly select and control groups of lights,. Tap Create Collection on the top right corner of the screen and enter a name.
2. Highlight light fixture(s) you want to add to the collection and drag to the desired collection 3. To make changes in a collection tap the gear icon inside the desired collection 4. Once in the edit screen tap the edit button in the top right corner to change the name 5. To remove lights from the collection, highlight the fixture(s) you want to remove and then tap the trash icon in the bottom right corner 6. To delete a collection highlight all of the fixtures in the collection and tap the trash icon. You will be prompted to just delete those fixtures from the collection or delete the collection itself
