To operate in Hotspot Mode, select the Hot Spot SSID (this will be displayed on the Novo home screen) on your computer or tablet device. To configure to your client wireless network, select WIFI then select your network and security settings. 3 4 Software Installation Windows/Mac Users: ipad/android Users: Connect Windows/Mac Users: ipad/android Devices: Enter the URL displayed on the home screen under Desktop Streamer into your web browser and follow the instructions in the next section. Download NovoPresenter from the applicable App store for your mobile device. (GooglePlay/Apple) Launch the installed NovoConnect Desktop Streamer application and enter the URL (and PIN if required) shown on the home screen in this step. Scan the QR code on the bottom right corner of the NovoConnect or manually configure your tablet by entering the IP address into your NovoPresenter and press connect.

Launching the Desktop Streamer Software from Windows, Mac, or Chromebook How to Make a Presentation: The Novo device supports up to 64 concurrent participants across a mix of PC, Chromebook, and tablet devices. To make a presentation, each participant s device will need to connect to the Novo device and join the presentation group hosted with Novo. There are four key features that help facilitate smooth collaboration and coordination of presentations using the Novo device: 1) A participant list is included with the individual s roles indicated by clear graphical representation. 2) A specific capability is defined for each role. 3) The split screen for simultaneous presentation of multiple participants. 4) Annotation tools allow participants to highlight, draw or make notations on the display screen. Launch Presentation Software: Launch the Novo Desktop Streamer Application by double clicking the icon. Once launched, the Novo Desktop Streamer will appear as follows. Manually enter the IP address shown on the Novo device home screen or choose an IP address from the drop down menu that matches the address on the Novo device home screen. A PIN is optional, but this can add privacy to your session. If a PIN is required for a presentation group, check the box to show Pin Required and enter the four-digit PIN shown on the Novo home screen. Manually enter a name for this computer that will be displayed to other participants during a session. (Note: If a name is not entered the default name of your device will be used.) Prior to beginning a session, you can click to expand the Settings menu. This Settings menu allows access to presentation options: Click here to check whether Novo Desktop software is the latest. If not, initiate an upgrade process. 1. Projection Mode: Video Playback: Select this option for a higher frame rate screen mirroring and to turn on audio transmission. Presentation: Select this option for document presentation or browser content presentation. The audio will be automatically set to off. Two additional configurations, Visual Quality and Screen Refresh Rate, will be enabled.

Other Options: Connect as a Moderator The first person to join a session will be assigned the role of moderator. The option to set up Moderator Credentials is available through the Remote Manager Software. Using Connect as Moderator by a person with established credentials assigns the role of Moderator regardless of sign-on order. Edit User Group Novo provides the option to create User Groups for easy roll taking and status checks during an active session. Examplea teacher may create a user group for their Period 1, Period 2, etc Device Manager Virtually re-set the Novo unit and manage the device settings; network, display, device name, and language. Once you have set up presentation session parameters, you are ready to start or join a presentation group with your Novo device. Connect to your Novo device. Click the button. If you are the first participant, this will start a presentation group on your Novo device. If you are not the first participant, you will be joining a presentation group. After your Desktop Streamer is connected successfully to your Novo device, you will see the connection tab light up. If you are the first participant, you will see that your PC s on-screen display is wirelessly mirrored on your projector or TV display. You can also slide the PIN requirement switch to OFF or ON to enable the use of an access PIN code for the presentation group.
