ENTRIES = ++PTF(RO75696) DESC(CPU time reporting higher than actual / ziip time zero) Two problems exist related to CPU times reported by SYSVIEW. 1. Jobs that utilize enclaves may see a large decrease in CPU usage followed by a large increase in CPU usage as reported by SYSVIEW. Both the MVS data collector and most command displays that show job CPU time are affected by this problem. This is most commonly seen in jobs who's associated enclaves have an extended period of inactivity. 2. Jobs that utilize ziip engines may see their ziip usage as zero as reported by SYSVIEW. Both the MVS data collector and most command displays that show job CPU time are affected by this problem. 1. The MVS data collector may incorrectly report a job's CPU usage much higher than the actual value. This can result in false alerts from monitoring variables such as JOBCPU%, JOBCPUT%, and JOBCPUTM. Command displays may incorrectly report a job's CPU usage much higher than the actual value. This can result in false data on command displays such as ACTIVITY, ACTJOB, ACTSUM, and ASPERF. 2. The MVS data collector may incorrectly report a job's ziip usage as zero usage. This can result in alerts for ziip usage not triggering for monitoring variables such as JOBIIP%, JOBIIPT%, and JOBIIPTM. Command displays may incorrectly report a job's ziip usage as zero usage. This can result in false data on command displays such as ACTIVITY, ACTJOB, ACTSUM, and ASPERF. 1. Unable to obtain accurate job CPU metrics. False alerts may be a result of the inaccurate CPU metrics. 2. Unable to obtain accurate job ziip metrics. Missing alerts may be a result of the inaccurate ziip metrics. 1. 2. SUP(TSE0058).

ENTRIES = ++PTF(RO76316) DESC(Various external line command updates) There are several problems related to external line commands in the GSVXLCMD parmlib member. 1. Some external line commands listed under the help for MQQPERF command display fail with an error message stating the line command is invalid. 2. External line commands that issue a PLOT command may not display data for the desired ASID if there are two or more jobs that share a Jobname. This problem affects multiple command displays. 3. The PLOT external line command on the USSLIST display incorrectly plots the current ASID and not the target ASID. 4. The PLOT external line command on the ACTSUM command display performs an unnecessary ASID switch prior to issuing the PLOT command. 5. Some cross system external line commands fail on the remote system where the command is executed. This problem affects multiple command displays. 6. The DELETE line command on the CTSQUEUE command display may fail upon confirmation. 1. Entering an external line command on the MQQPERF command display may result in an error message similar to the following: GSVX156E Invalid line command - USERS The following external line commands are affected by this problem: RJOB, ROBJ, QUTIL, USERS 2. External line commands that issue the PLOT command were using a Jobname variable rather than ASID. This is a problem when there are multiple jobs executing with the same job name. As a result, the desired ASID may not be used for the PLOT command. The following command display line commands are affected by this problem: ACTIVITY - PCPU, PIORATE, PPAGING, PSTORAGE ACTJOB - PLOT ALERTS - GRAPH. PLOT ASLIST - CPU, IORATE, MSTG, PGRATE MOBJECTS - CPU, IORATE, MSTG, PGRATE, PLOT PVTUSAGE - EPVT, PVT TSFLIST - PCPU, SELECT 3. The PLOT external line command for USSLIST returns a plot for the current ASID rather than the ASID for the line on which the command was entered. 4. An unnecessary ASID switch occurs prior to issuing the PLOT external line command on the ACTSUM command display. This is evident when viewing LISTLOG after the PLOT line command is entered, which may look similar to the following: ASID005I ASID switched to ASID 0001 job *MASTER* LINK PLOT MVS JOBCPUT% 0001 SAVEENVR PLOT MVS JOBCPUT% 0001 5. The following line commands fail when issued on a data row that was returned from a remote system with the cross system feature: CICSLIST - COLD, GSVS, GSVT, INIT, SHUTDOWN, RESTART, SIMM, START, STRT, TERM, WARM, XPFS, XPFT DCTASKS - CANCEL IMSLIST - PLGR, SLGR IMSLOGRS - PLGR, SLGR CICSLIST GSVT There will be no error messages on the local system, but the line command will appear to have no effect on the remote system. 6. The DELETE external line command on the CTSQUEUE command display a queue with non-display characters or command characters within the queue name, i.e. MNPD;AA=, will result in the command failing with the following message: GSVX763E Invalid command AA= found in external definition 1. Unable to perform some line commands listed under HELP for MQQPERF. 2. The external line commands that issue PLOT may display datafor a

CA SYSVIEW Performance Management 14.0 7 CA RS 1502 - PTF RO76316 different job than intended if multiple jobs share a job name. 3. The PLOT line command for USSLIST command display returns data based on the current ASID instead of the ASID associated with the line where the command was issued. 4. Unnecessary overhead as result of issuing the PLOT line command on the ACTSUM command display. 5. External line commands entered on data lines returned from remote systems with cross system may fail. 6. Unable to delete CTSQUEUE queues containing non-display or special characters. 1. Enter the primary command that the external line command invokes as stated in the HELP. For example the functionality for the USERS line command can be achieved by issuing the primary command MQQUSERS. 2. 3. Manually change the current ASID using the ASID command. 4. 5. Issue the remote command with a remote session established with the XSCONN command. 6. SUP(TSE0065).

The FTPCA command is not compatible with the different case number format, thus FTPCA will not be able to FTP documentation to a case FTP directory. The following illustrates the difference between the old and new case number formats: Old: nnnnnnnn-nn (before January 26, 2015) New: nnnnnnnn (on or after January 26, 2015) Cases opened prior to January 26, 2015 will continue to use the old case number format and are not affected by this problem. Cases opened on or after January 26, 2015 require this fix to be able to use FTPCA with the new case number format. Attempting to use the FTPCA command with the new case number format results in the following error message: FTPC005E Invalid case number Unable to use the FTPCA command to upload case documentation for cases opened on or after January 26, 2015. FTP must be completed using another method. SUP(TSE0083).
