CPD Online System Requirements and Browser Settings Hardware Requirements There are no specific hardware requirements for CPD Online. If the client's machine can run at least one of the Browser & Operating System Compatibility Matrix, then they can also use CPD online. Keep in mind that operating systems and browsers do have their own minimum hardware requirements. These vary by OS and browser. Check with your provider for details. Third-Party Requirements Install the latest stable release of Java to run the following processes. If using the SkillSoft library, you need Java to play certain Skillsoft courses and to work with Remote Content Servers (RCS). Install WebEx client software on the client machine to attend WebEx sessions. Use Internet Explorer with ActiveX support to leverage the auto-publish to Microsoft Outlook feature. You need to install Adobe Flash Player if you wish to work with the following features: Feature Multiple file upload (Bulk upload) Adobe Connect Professional integration Required Version of Adobe Flash Player 10.0 and above 8.0 and above Roadmap use of Flash in CUNA courses & exams It is our wish to provide proactive communication about Flash Player and its impact on our product line to help credit union professionals plan their online training experiences. Based on the available information from Adobe, our anticipated roadmap for updating and migrating online training products from being Flash Player dependent and into HTML5 is outlined below. NOTE: This timeline is subject to change; it will be updated as new information is released by Adobe. Should Adobe change their plans regarding support for the Flash product, CUNA Professional Development Online will, in turn, update this plan. January 2018 December 2018 CUNA anticipates that as of January 2018, 60% of courses and 100% of exams will be in HTML5. During the duration of 2018 we will update/migrate an additional 25% of the course content. January 2019 June of 2019 As of January 2019, CUNA expects 85% of courses and 100% of exams will be in HTML5. During the first 6 months of 2019 we intend to update/migrate the remaining 15% of the course content.
Recommended Browser Settings This section provides the minimum settings required for supported browsers to run CPD Online smoothly. Users should evaluate what the best browser is based on their operating system and required SumTotal capabilities. Before running CPD Online, or if you encounter any issues while using CPD Online, refer to this section to ensure your browser's settings are optimized. For all browsers, you should: cookies: A web interface provides access to modules in the SumTotal Suite. Each user who runs Learn in a web browser must have the browser set to enable cookies. You can view this setting in the browser s security dialog box. Allow pop-ups: You must disable the utility programs that block the opening of pop-up browser windows. When a user logs in to the SumTotal application, the program detects the existence of pop-up blockers and reminds users to turn them off. Individual browsers (such as Firefox or Chrome) may also require specific updates to their settings. For Edge As with Internet Explorer, ensure you enable cookies, allow pop-ups, and do not run in compatibility mode. Edge does not require any unique setting configurations.
