In other words, our bar code-controlled high-bay warehouse always has a large number of bearings available in many different variants and specifications. We can respond flexibly and quickly to requests for reinforced bearings or bearings with special seals, or a particular cage type, different bearing clearance, special lubrication or specifications for a higher precision class. If requested, we will also be happy to draw up the appropriate technical data sheet for the selected bearing. Every bearing made under the KIS brand satisfies the highest quality demands. It also carries a production code that ensures end-to-end traceability at all times, giving you an assurance of security. 7 KIS PRODUCT RANGE Large diameters, heavy loads, longer service lives Special solutions are nothing unusual at KIS, just part of our day-to-day business. Can we produce slewing rings with an outer diameter of 8.50 metres or larger? Of course! For high radial loads, we develop special solutions with heavy bearings or track rollers in many different versions with a much longer service life. Crossed roller bearings made by KIS are ideal for applications requiring a single bearing. The result is effective support for forces from all directions. Axial angular-contact bearings and cylindrical roller bearings with a high limiting speed are part of our normal special solutions, just like extremely resilient, full complement cylindrical roller bearings with a large number of rolling elements. We solve these and many other special cases with skill and confidence as part of our normal routine. 7

9 KIS SPECIAL PRODUCTS A one-stop shop for advice, development and manufacture Do you need special bearings for special machines and special production sequences? KIS will develop them. We make special bearings based on a design drawing precisely in accordance with your expectations. Skilled advice on feasibility options is all part of the service, just like our cost estimate and delivery period. Our in-house KIS Product Development unit works closely with Manufacturing to make, say, a special coating to treat the bearing surface. The same goes for casings, special seals, alternative lubrications or unusual dimensions or designs. The major benefit here is that we look after both development and implementation, which means we can control the processes efficiently and respond flexibly at any time. 9

11 KIS ACCESSORIES Large warehouse stocks mean rapid delivery And just as we fine-tune our bearings to suit your wishes, we have designed our accessories to be a perfect match for the bearings. Permanent elements in our range of high-quality individual components which are available at all times are housings made from a range of materials with coated inserts, for instance, and a wide array of adapter sleeves and withdrawal sleeves, which can be supplied up to an outer diameter of 1,400 mm. All components are available with customerspecific markings by request. Other accessories are nuts (standard and special dimensions) and sleeves, both available in hydraulic versions, as well as mechanical seals, integral and separate thrust collars, lock washers and circlips. 11
