10 Frequently Asked Questions Q1: What if our institution does not collect ACT/SAT scores? A1: ACT, SAT, MAT, and GRE scores are optional fields, not mandatory. Refer to the Data Collection Template Guide for information on mandatory and optional fields.

11 Frequently Asked Questions Q2: How do I know what fields are mandatory and what fields are optional? A2: Refer to the Data Collection Template Guide for information on mandatory and optional fields.

12 Frequently Asked Questions Q3: Should we include initial licensure programs only? A3: No, all fully approved programs, both graduate and undergraduate, should be reported.

13 Frequently Asked Questions Q4: What if I do not collect IEINs for my students? A4: Submission of IEINs is not mandatory, however, it is recommended to begin collecting the IEINs for the purposes of reporting, as it is a more confidential and secure method. If you are not able to supply IEINs this year, you must include the SSN instead.

14 Frequently Asked Questions Q5: Do I have to report a candidate twice if he/she is in two of our approved programs? A5: Yes. For example, if Joe Smith is enrolled in both Elementary Education and Middle Grades programs, he would need to be entered twice.

15 Frequently Asked Questions Q6: If I have candidates completing coursework towards a subsequent endorsement for which we do not have an approved program, such as ESL, do I need to report them? A6: No. Only report candidates that are completely fully approved programs.
