1 Step 1: Completing the CCCApply and Cabrillo Application (TO BE COMPLETED FROM OCT 1 st and ON)

2 Information Needed Before Applying Before beginning the Cabrillo application have the following information ready: Personal Address Date of Birth Permanent Address Social Security Number (If you do not have a SSN, you CAN still apply)

3 QUICK TIPS Before You Start Your Application SSN: If you don t have a SSN- Check the box at the bottom of the page o Click Decline Term: Choose Fall of the following year (For example: if it is Fall 2018 or Spring 2019, choose Fall 2019) College Enrollment Status: o 9 th -11 th grade: Choose Enrolling in high school and college at the same time o 12 th grade: Choose First time student in college after leaving high school Supplemental: Parent/Guardian 1: If you are 18 or younger, skip this section- Just click on Continue

4 Already have a Cabrillo ID? If you have already applied or taken a class at Cabrillo College, you have a Cabrillo ID and are done with STEP 1. o Find your Cabrillo ID number. It should contain ALL numbers and begin with 0 All other students should move on to the next slide

5 Go to the Cabrillo Admissions & Records Website Go to the following website: Keep this document open and use it as a reference if you get stuck on a question. Click on U.S. Students Apply button

6 Create an OpenCCC Account

7 Begin Creating Your Account

8 Enter Your Legal Name and Date of Birth

9 Enter Your Social Security Number Quick Tip: If you do not have a Social Security Number, check the box at the end of the page. Click Continue after completing all fields.

10 If you clicked the do not have a social security number box, you will see this popup. Click I Decline.

11 Enter Your , Telephone Number, & Permanent Address Quick Tip: Enter a personal address, NOT a school address, because you may need to access your account after you ve graduated and your school has expired. Click Continue after completing all fields.

12 Create a Username, Password, and Security Pin Quick Tip: Take a picture or write down your username and password. Note the requirements for your Username and Password

13 Answer 3 Security Questions Click on the I m not a robot check box. Then Click on Create My Account

14 Note Your CCCApply ID WAIT! YOU RE NOT DONE YET! Click continue to apply to Cabrillo

15 Quick Tip: Check the Yes button to copy the information from your OpenCCC Account directly into your Cabrillo Application. Click on the blue Start A New Application button

16 Click on the blue Start Application button a second time Quick Tip: Review Help Using this Application information before starting.

17 Quick Tip: For Term Applying For- Choose Fall of the Following Year (ie. For Fall 2018 or Spring 2019, CHOOSE FALL 2019) For Educational Goal and Intended Major- Select the options that best fit you. Enter Enrollment Information

18 Make sure to review your OpenCCC Account Information for accuracy Quick Tip: If you were unable to add your Social Security Number, or need to update or change your contact information, you may do so now by clicking on the Edit Account button in the upper, right-hand corner.

19 Enter Your Personal Information

20 Parent/Guardian Information Quick Tip: If you do not know the Educational Levels of your Parent or Guardian you may select Unknown.

21 Select the appropriate box below Quick Tip: You may check one or more boxes if applicable.

22 Select College Enrollment Status FOR FRESHMEN, SOPHOMORES, and JUNIORS ONLY (SENIORS see next Slide) Quick Tip: From the pull down menu for College Enrollment Status, you must select Enrolled in High School and College At the Same Time.

23 Select College Enrollment Status FOR SENIORS ONLY (other students see previous slide) Quick Tip: From the pull down menu for College Enrollment Status, select First-time student in college (after leaving high school). For High School Education, select Received high school diploma from U.S. school. It s ok if you don t know your exact high school completion date- just give an estimate.

24 Quick Tip: If you have not previously attended college select No Degree under College Education Level. Select College Education Level

25 Select Citizenship and Military Status Quick Tip: Make sure to click Save before moving onto the next section.

26 Make sure you answer each question as accurately as possible Quick Tip: If you are under 18 years old answer No to all Out-of-State Activities.

32 Review each section carefully

33 Submit Cabrillo Application by clicking on the blue Submit My Application Button Quick Tip: Be sure to check both boxes stating that all information is true to the best of your knowledge

34 Click on the I have reviewed this application and confirm it is complete and accurate link

35 Print or save confirmation page for your records Quick Tip: For security purposes make sure you sign out of your application.

36 Wait Hours for a Confirmation from Cabrillo It will take hours for your application to be processed. Check the personal address you entered on your application. Once you receive a confirmation with your Cabrillo ID, continue to Step 2. Quick Tip: Check your SPAM folder if you haven t received anything within 48 hours.
