7 FEATURES The CMG086/088 series Day&Night Adaptive Tone Reproduction 700TV Lines Resolution Camera introduces supremacy in video quality. This compact yet full functional color DSP camera use high sensitive /3" Exview HAD interline transfer CCD. The camera achieves superb quality color images at 700TV lines resolution. With ultralow light levels of Lux(F.2) and enhanced noise reduction technology, it enables noise-free, clear image monitoring day and night. RESOLUTION OF 700TV LINES By adopting a diagonal 6mm(/3") 480K(NTSC) pixel, 570K(PAL) pixel CCD, the camera produces clear picture quality with a horizontal resolution of 700TV lines for color. ADAPTIVE TONE REPRODUCTION(ATR) Improves the visibility of the entire picture by providing the optimum gradation compensation for the image. NOISE REDUCTION(2D-NR) Reduces the image noise in order to improve the image quality of the camera. In particular, it reduces the noise which is generated under low-brightness shooting conditions and other high-gain states. HIGH LIGHT COMPENSATION(HLC) Improves the visual recognition of license plates and other such objects by suppressing or masking strong light sources (such as the headlights of automobiles) in dark places. COLOR ROLLING SUPPRESSION(ANTI CR) Suppresses the color rolling which arises when there are slight deviations between the blinking frequency of non-inverter fluorescent lights and the drive frequency of the image sensor devices.

8 DAY&NIGHT(IR CUT REMOVABLE) The camera automatically identifies when it is either day or night time and switched accordingly. During daylight the camera will switch to color to obtain excellent image clarity, while at night the camera will switch to monochrome to obtain improved picture definition. MOTION DETECTION Since the camera detects motion without any additional external sensor, you can monitor activity more efficient. WHITE BALANCE Color temperature is adjusted automatically to produce clean, natural and rich color images. ATW, PUSH, USER, USER2, MANUAL and PUSH LOCK Modes are available to obtain most suitable selection. ON SCREEN DISPLAY CONTROL(OSD) This camera provides an on screen display(osd) setup menu where all advanced functions can be selected and setup via OSD. PRIVACY ZONE Privacy zones prevent objects and areas such as windows and doors which are within the camera's viewing range but not in the scope of surveillance, 8 masking areas per screen simultaneously. SHUTTER To set up proper shutter speed for auto iris lens, which is applied for catching the image of the object moving at middle-low speed. 11 2 LENS MOUNT CAP Prevent damages to the image sensor and to keep dust away. FOCAL LENGTH ADJUSTMENT RING AND LOCKING SCREW Use this ring to adjusts the back-focal distance or picture focus. Rotate this ring clockwise or counterclockwise for a CS-mount lens. Use the locking screw to lock the focal length MICROPHONE Built-in highly sensitive capacitive microphone. AUTO IRIS CONNECTOR(4PIN SOCKET) Supplies power and control signals to an auto iris lens(jack not supplied). POWER LED Power ON/ indicator. AUDIO OUTPUT RCA CONNECTOR Audio signal output. 7 SYNCHRONIZATION SELECTION SWITCH(INT/LL) Selects the camera synchronization mode from internal sync(int) mode or linelock(ll) mode (Must be operated with OSD menu setting. Please refer to page 27 and 28.). The LL mode is available only with AC power source. INT: Sets to internal 2: interlace. LL: Sets to Line-Lock mode. 8 DAY/NIGHT SELECTION SWITCH (INT/EXT) Selects the camera DAY/NIGHT mode triggered by internal or external (Must be operated with OSD menu setting. Please refer to page 25 and 26). INT: Setting through camera internal OSD menu. 3 options: AUTO, COLOR, B/W. EXT: Triggered by the external device (Infrared Illuminator). Please set the DAY /NIGHT mode to COLOR on the SETUP MENU menu. 5

12 9 VIDEO OUTPUT CONNECTOR Composite video signal output. 0 USER OSD SETTING Setting switches and Functions. UP. (UP) 2. (LEFT) : Press to move the cursor upwards or to select items. LEFT : Press to move the cursor to the left and to select or adjust the parameters of the selected item. The parameters changes each time this button is pressed. 3. (RIGHT) : Press to move the cursor to the right and to select or adjust the parameters of the selected item. The parameters changes each time this button is pressed. 4. (DOWN) : Press to move the cursor downwards or to select items. 5. SET : Executes selections and displays a submenu for an item with the mark. EXTERNAL DEVICE CONNECTORS. NO(Normal Open) & COM(Common) & NC(Normal Close) Alarm Connection Connect to the alarm input of an external device such as a buzzer or lamp to this connector. When the camera detects motion, the alarm output signal is supplied to the connected external device. External Contact Ratings NO Device Maximum load current is 500mA. Don't connect any system or device that COM has over 80Vp-p(DC60V) bias voltage on the contact connector. DAY Mode When you supply the HIGH(+3V~+5V) Potential, the DAY/NIGHT function is set to DAY mode. NIGHT Mode When you supply the LOW(0V) Potential, the DAY/NIGHT function is set to NIGHT mode. 15 INSTALLATION SUITABLE LENSES The lens must be either a C or CS mount type. The protrusion behind the mounting surface must be within the following limits: C - mount lens 9mm or less CS - mount lens 4mm or less 9

16 FITTING THE LENS Remove the lens mount cap. 2 Screw in the C mount ring(not supplied), until it is secured. When using a CS mount lens skip step2. 3 Screw in the lens, until it is secured. 4 Insert the lens plug in the AUTO IRIS connector, when fitting a manualiris lens, skip step4. 5 Adjust the focal length by turning the focal length adjustment ring. (Using hexagon screw driver, loose and tighten the screw.) CAUTION Keep the lens mount cap on the camera when not attaching a lens. 0

SAVE ALL: Used to save the various setting of the internal OSD menu in the EEPROM together. EXIT: Exit the setup menu. NOTE MODE SPEED AUTO OPEN CLOSE 000~255 Sets the type of control to be exercised over the mechanical iris. AUTO: The mechanical iris is controlled automatically. OPEN: The mechanical iris is fixed to open. CLOSE: The mechanical iris is fixed to close. Sets the convergence speed of the mechanical iris. When you use AUTO IRIS lens, do not set the level on the lens to too low, DAY/ NIGHT may not change over automatically. SHUTTER/AGC This function is used to set AE(Auto Exposure) or ME(Manual Exposure). 23 MANUAL (ME) MANUAL SETUP MODE SHUTTER AGC SHUT+AGC / FUNCTION OPTION DESCRIPTION MODE SHUT+AGC "SHUT+AGC" is the only option available for the ME operation mode. There are no other options. SHUTTER AGC /60(NTSC), /50(PAL) /00(NTSC), /20(PAL) /250 /500 /000 /2000 /4000 / Sets the ME shutter speed(in fractions of a second). Sets the AGC value(db) for ME. 7

24 WHITE BAL (WHITE BALANCE) This function is used to set the white balance operation mode.. Select [WHITE BAL] option. ATW 2. Push or button to select a mode. SPEED WHITE BAL mode changes as follows: DELAY CNT ATW PUSH USER USER2 ATW FRAME ENVIROMENT PUSH LOCK MANUAL ANTI CR x.00 INDOOR ATW (Auto Tracking White balance) This function automatically tracks the changes in the color temperature, and adjusts the white balance. The color temperatures ranging from 800K to 0500K. FUNCTION OPTION DESCRIPTION SPEED DELAY CNT ATW FRAME ENVIROMENT 000~ ~255 x0.50 x.00 x.50 x2.00 INDOOR OUTDOOR Adjusts the pull-in speed of ATW. Sets the time-based hysteresis of ATW. Sets the pull-in frame magnification. Sets the pull-in frame(indoor/outdoor) of ATW. INDOOR: Select the indoor pull-in frame. OUTDOOR: Select the outdoor pull-in frame. PUSH (Full pull-in) This function adjusts the white balance regardless of the subject conditions. 8

25 USER WB USER2 WB B-GAIN R-GAIN B-GAIN R-GAIN USER The gain values for the outdoor fixed mode are used as the adjustment items of USER on the internal OSD menu. USER2 The gain values for the fluorescent light fixed mode are used as the adjustment items of USER2 on the internal OSD menu. FUNCTION OPTION DESCRIPTION B-GAIN R-GAIN 000~ ~255 Used for the B gain operation in the WB fixed gain mode. Used for the R gain operation in the WB fixed gain mode. ANTI CR (Color Rolling suppression) This function minimizes the color changes(color rolling) over long periods caused by very small differences between the flicker frequency of non-inverter fluorescent lights and the drive frequency of the image sensor devices. MANUAL (Manual WB) The B and R gain values for manual WB are set on this screen. 9

26 MANUAL WB LEVEL 058 FUNCTION OPTION DESCRIPTION LEVEL 000~255 Sets the B and R gain values for manual WB. By incrementing or decrementing the B gain value, the R gain value is also adjusted in tandem. PUSH LOCK (Hold) The WB gain level established when operation has transferred to the PUSH LOCK mode is held.. Push or button to select [PUSH LOCK] Mode then press "SET" button. BACKLIGHT (BACKLIGHT Compensation) This function is used to set the backlight compensation operation. SETUP MENU LENS SHUTTER/AGC WHITE BAL BACKLIGHT PICT ADJUST ATR MOTION DET. 27 BACKLGIHT mode changes as follows: BLC HLC BLC: Backlight compensation ON. HLC: HLC(High Light Compensation) function ON. HLC is a function that improves the visual recognition of license plates and other such objects by suppressing or masking strong hight sources(such as the headlights of automobiles) in dark places. : Backlight Compensation. PICT ADJUST (PICTURE ADJUST). Select [PICT ADJUST] option and press "SET" button. The PICT ADJUST menu appears. 2. Push or button to select a mode or set the function level(000~255). PICT ADJUST mode changes as follows: MIRROR BRIGHTNESS CONTRAST GAIN HUE SHARPNESS PICT ADJUST MIRROR BRIGHTNESS CONTRAST SHARPNESS HUE GAIN FUNCTION OPTION DESCRIPTION MIRROR BRIGHTNESS CONTRAST SHARPNESS HUE GAIN ON 000~ ~ ~ ~ ~255 Sets the horizontal flip for the display output. : Normal output. ON: Horizontal flipped output Sets the screen brightness. Sets the screen contrast. Sets the screen sharpness. Adjusts the hue. Adjusts the gain. 2

28 ATR (Adaptive Tone Reproduction) The ATR(Adaptive Tone Reproduction) function provides gradation compensation to improve the contrast of subjects whose gradation has been lost in cases where, for instance, both low-louminance areas and highluminance areas exist in the same picture.. Select [ATR] option. 2. Push or button to select a ON and press "SET" button. The ATR menu appears. 3. Push or button to set the luminance level and contrast level. LUMINANCE level changes as follows: LOW MID HIGH CONTRAST level changes as follows: LOW MIDLOW MID MIDHIGH HIGH ATR LUMINANCE CONTRAST LOW LOW FUNCTION OPTION DESCRIPTION LUMINANCE LOW Sets the extent of the luminance compression. MID HIGH CONTRAST LOW MIDLOW MID MIDHIGH HIGH Sets the extent of the contrast enhancement. MOTION DET This function is used to set the motion detection operation.. Select [MOTION DET] option. 2. Push or button to select a ON and press "SET" button. The MOTION DET menu appears. 3. Push or button to set a mode or set the motion detection position. 22

Regarding setting up motion detection's block display, it's better to set the block display within monitoring frame. 23

Push or button to select a mode or set the mask frame position.
