ARENA lenses are manufactured exclusively in the UK at our Cornwall laboratory. Each lens is customised to match the prescription and frame style taking account of the fitting angle, position and curvature of the frame. 4 Fishing 3 Fishing continues to be one of the most popular sports/pastimes. To cope with changing weather conditions and reflected glare the correct choice of lens is important. Yellow and amber colours filter blue light and give enhanced contrast. On dull days yellow will increase perception and may extend the useable daylight hours. Both colours are available in polarised form to reduce surface reflections. Photochromic lenses can also be an advantage with NXT Photo-Polar Brown and Drivewear being extremely good for coping with changing conditions. HURRICANE and ON-CUE are glazed with CR39 lenses as standard and can be supplied with other lens materials at extra cost. HOTSHOT and EYE-CUE rimless frames stand up to casual or even heavy wear with our Polycarbonate and Trivex lenses. 7 GOLF 6 Golfers require unimpeded vision looking downwards onto the green. Thin metal rimmed frames and half rimmed styles are very popular and wrapped frames give greater protection from wind and dust. A few examples are shown here. DirtyDog SLY Finding a single lens style that suits changing weather conditions can be a challenge. Light amber lenses will increase contrast on a dull day and help pick out the white golfball against a green background. Green lenses allow for some contrast enhancement whilst retaining more natural colours. Grey reduces glare on a bright day with colours unchanged. 32 BARRACUDA Swimming Goggles Standard, B300 & Medalist The super comfort goggles that remember their owner NOTE: Foam colour may vary according to availability. 31 The STANDARD is the original BARRACUDA swim goggle, recognized all over the world. This frame brought positive pressure fit to the market. Most goggles create a suction to make the goggle fit. The Standard uses BARRACUDA's patented "Positive Pressure" design which matches the facial bone structure. In addition a soft, closed cell foam is used to further enhance the fit of the goggle. The frame matches the anatomy of the face, and the cells of the foam close down to provide a leak free fit. Designed for fitness swimmers, the Standard is large and comfortable. Model B300 boasts the same patented BARRACUDA positive pressure construction but in a modern teardrop shape. This model is very popular with triathletes. 36 35 PRESCRIPTION DIVING MASKS for Professionals and Amateurs We offer three types of prescription glazeable masks. Type 1 - Ready-Made glass lenses approximating the required spherical prescription fitted in place of the standard plano eyepieces. This system may be adequate for simple prescriptions. Type 2 - Flat Glass prescription lenses matching the wearers exact prescription bonded directly to the inside of the face mask. Lenses may be fitted to the customers own mask if suitable. Good vision is ensured and the bonded unit reduces the chance of fogging. A change of prescription requires a new mask. Bifocals are possible. Type 3 - This mask holds a prescription insert which is fitted with the customers exact prescription ensuring good vision. Prescription lenses may be CR39, polycarbonate or any other material and bifocals/varifocals are possible. Future prescription changes are more easily accommodated through reglazing or replacing the insert. READY TO WEAR SPHERICAL POWER LENS MASK -1.00D to -7.00D in 0.50D steps. PROTECTIVE GOGGLES are supplied with either trivex or polycarbonate safety lenses for maximum protection. These are available in clear, Infinity colours, photochromic, polarised and photo-polarised. SPORTS EYEWEAR (low risk impact) - For durability and safety we supply these frames in either trivex or polycarbonate as standard. For higher prescriptions 1.67 / 1.74 may be possible in certain lens types. SPORTS WRAPS (Direct Glaze 8 base) - For glazing directly to the frame we can supply any of the lenses from the ARENA range. Please refer to our ARENA brochure for more information. Samples are available for review or fitting prior to placing an order and will be charged out on a proforma basis at a nominal price for stock control purposes. We will not invoice you fully until the completed prescription order is despatched or unless the sample is not returned. For non return of samples where a prescription order has not been received we may charge a cost to cover admin and a reasonable margin. This process and associated charges may be modified for regular orders.
