Precautions Prior/After Assembly Do not wet the Robot or its part, or use/store them at high humidity or in an environment where due condensation may occur. Use the tools with utmost care paid to safety. Do not disassemble the robot. Care should be taken not to allow conductive foreign substances into contact with the Robot When you adjust or operate the Product after its assembly, secure sufficient work space and operate. 11 CHAPTER 1 Before Getting Started Using Burner Breaker vs SVStrike SV Strike acquires pincodes/ cell phones. phones utilizing software. 2

CHAPTER 1 Getting Started Usage Tips Adjusting Computer Camera Settings Sometimes computer camera settings will cause conflict with Ipevo USB Camera, causing the Ipevo to not connect to the computer. To avoid this, go to device manager-imaging Devices- Integrated Camera- Turn OFF. You may need to restart the computer after this for the setting to take place Supervision Recommmended It is suggested that someone be present while the Burner Breaker is in use. Give Burner Breaker Breaks The Burner Breaker uses a state of the art robot with interior sensors. It is suggested that the robot be given a break every 5 hours to ensure its calibration stays intact. This can be as simple as a five minute stop to ensure the stylus is hitting all the keys. Confirm Camera Connection Ensure your camera is connected and being accessed by the Burner Breaker software. This will allow creation of evidence. Confirm Keys are Programmed Correctly Take your time to make sure the Burner Breaker is programmed to hit all applicable keys. Different phones and operating systems will have different ways of registering pincode attempts. Your Burner Breaker can be programmed for different time-out periods, screen-awake procedures and even backspace deletes for locked applications without enter buttons. 3

CHAPTER 1 Getting Started How pincodes are accepted This test with the phone is needed to be done before using Burner Breaker to ensure proper, continuous Brute Force attack To find out how your phone accepts passcodes, you need to manually enter incorrect passcodes at least 5 times. It is very important to notate information like: 2 Do you have to enter OK after each attempt to enter another passcode? 3 4 How many attempts are you able to 1 enter before the phone locks out? How long is the lockout period? Do you have to click OK on any popup once the phone locks out to get back to the keypad screen? 4

CHAPTER 1 Getting Started Test if phone will wipe For Android 6 phones, its a must to find out how many attempts would trigger the phone to wipe out, if it would at all. To find if the phone will wipeout, always sit with the phone for the first attempts to break in. Your phone will warn you if it will wipe due to advanced security settings. Warnings vary by manufacturer but will most likely warn that phone will be reset after a limited amount of left over attempts. If you are sure that no attempts have been made to enter pincodes, please use SV Strike. You only have 120 or so attempts to acquire the pincode on this phone. It is suggested that you manually enter the pincodes based on our Most Popular Pincode list. 5

CHAPTER 1 Getting Started Keeping phone awake during attack It is imperative that you find out how to keep your phone awake during its lockout period. This can be different between phone models and makes. Most phones can be kept awake by using some combination of tapping Emergency Call, or pressing the Home or Back button. Other phones can be kept awake by simply tapping on the screen. The phone must stay awake to stay on the same lockout schedule with the Burner Breaker because there is no way for the Burner Breaker to wake the phone itself if it sleeps. Tip #1: Most phones require you to click OK before you are able to keep the phone awake during the lockout period. Tip #2: Use preloaded excel sheet in All Access card to record model and system and to input numbers for reference. 6

CHAPTER 1 Getting Started X and Y input fields The spaces between each button (which you ll enter into Burner Breaker interface) are measured using X and Y coordinates. The X axis moves from left to right. It uses a postitive integer (+) when moving right, and a negative integer (-) when moving left. The Y axis moves up and down. It uses a negative integer (-) when moving down, and a positive integer (+) for moving up. When manually entering a number that is going left or down, make sure to use the - symbol in front of the number. (+) Y axis (-) 7

CHAPTER 1 Getting Started (-) X axis (+) 8

CHAPTER 1 Getting Started Setting up USB Camera The included USB camera is used as both a sensor and an evidence capture camera. Connect the camera s USB to your computer. The camera should be set up to view the base of the robot with the phone in frame. Once connected, the camera s viewpoint will be visible in the Burner Breaker software interface. The Burner Breaker software will create a folder on your desktop, where it will store evidence reports containing a picture of each attempt to break into the phone. The name of the files contained in the evidence report will be the pincode used by the robot. For example, if the picture named 0007 shows the phone open, the pincode to access the phone is For advanced sensor set up, please refer to page 23. 9

CHAPTER 1 Getting Started Connecting to Camera To connect to the Burner Breaker, hit the Connect button at the top. Your Burner Breaker robot should move and lock into center position.
