3 Joel Stave Managing Director PrairiE Systems Part of the dynamic leadership team at Prairie Systems, Joel Stave started his career in pig production nearly twenty years ago (you ve seen the proof) at a farrow-tofinish swine operation. Born in Nebraska and raised in Iowa, Joel completed his Bachelor s Degree in 1999 and went to work as a software developer. In 2001, Joel joined Prairie States Management Company in Emmetsburg, Iowa. While at PSMC, Joel developed real time information technology that assists in the management of multistate swine production systems. Prairie Systems was founded in 2006 and in 2012 was purchased by JBS United, Inc. The Prairie System s Feed Allocation System (FAS) is precision software that executes your live animal nutrition. Prairie Systems is located in Spencer, Iowa with a an additional location in St Paul, MN. Today the FAS system manages over 2.5 million tons of feed each year with plans to be at 6 million tons by 2020.
