3.3.1 Voice Configuration PREFACE. In this document we refer to two different interfaces: FXS and FXO. FXS interface corresponds to the Tel connectors of 3G Gateway and it can be connected to a phone or to an analog interface of a PABX (trunk side). FXO interface corresponds to the LINE connector of 3G Gateway and it can be connected to a PABX extension. In this page you can configure the FXS, Corporate, Integra or Mobile Extension applications. Here below the description of the applications that can be performed by setting the various options. General FXS Application To manage the following applications, select Tel FXS in the Voice Configuration Menu. General FXS analog phone connected to the FXS interface Incoming calls Phone1 will ring when receiving an incoming call to the number of the SIM inserted in 3G Gateway. Outgoing calls By lifting the receiver of Phone1 you will hear the dial tone from the Gateway and you will be able to make calls to the national/international numbers over fixed or mobile network.
General FXS with analog local call (trunk) connected to the FXS interface 3G Gateway connected to the trunk side of the PABX (not extensions side). Incoming calls An incoming call to the SIM number will be forwarded to the PABX that will manage it by ringing the operator phone or all the phones depending on its own setting. Outgoing calls The phones connected to the PABX can engage the line connected to the 3G Gateway (i.e. dialing 9); they will hear the dial tone from the 3G Gateway and it will be possible to make calls to the national/international numbers over the fixed or mobile network.
Corporate Application To manage this application, select Corporate in the Voice Configuration Menu. The Corporate application is managed by 3G Gateway models supporting both the FXO and FXS interface (3G SoHo Plus and 3G Corporate). The installation is performed through the connection of FXO interface on the extensions side and of FXS interface on the PABX trunk side. Incoming calls (from GSM network to PABX) An incoming call to the SIM number will be managed by 3G Gateway FXO interface and will be forwarded to PABX. The caller will hear the PABX tone and will be able to dial an extension or, if a PSTN/ISDN line is available, make the call through this one. It is possible to enable the Autocall number function (Line FXO menu) that is, the PABX automatically calls a number (i.e. operator phone). Outgoing calls (from PABX to the GSM network) The phones connected to the PABX can make calls through the FXS interface. When you engage the line connected to the 3G Gateway (i.e. dialing 9), you will hear the dial tone from the 3G Gateway and you will be able to make calls to national/international number over the fixed or mobile network. Note: in this application the outgoing calls cannot pass through the FXO interface of 3G Gateway. Integra Application To manage this application, select Integra in the Voice Configuration Menu. This application is compliant with the Integra Service of Movistar (Spain). For information on its working, please refer to the Telecom Operator.
Mobile Extension Mex Application To manage this application, select Mobile EXtension in the Voice Configuration Menu. The Mobile EXtension application is performed by 3G Gateway models supporting both FXO and FXS interface (3G SoHo Plus and 3G Corporate). The installation is performed through the connection of FXO interface on the extensions side of the PABX and of a phone on the FXS interface of 3G Gateway. The Mobile Extension (MEx) application allows to divert a PABX extension to a mobile phone with the maximum portability. It turns your mobile phone into a PABX extension with the advantage to keep the communication with the PABX, if compared with the traditional call forwarding. For example this allows to forward a called received on the mobile phone to an extension during the conversation itself. To enable the call diversion both to the phone connected to the FXS interface and to the mobile phone (Mex Number), enable the Activate option. The activation will be identified with a special dial tone. You can enable/disable the Mobile Extension functionality on the phone connected to the FXS interface. The Code for DTMF Activation can be set via web interface (default ** ). Calls to the PABX extension connected to the Gateway (not enabling Activate option) All the calls addressed to the PABX extension connected to the Gateway (fxo) will be diverted to the phone connected to the FXS interface (Phone 1). Calls to the PABX extension connected to the Gateway (enabling Activate option) Both the phone connected to the FXS interface (FXS Phone) and the number of mobile phone associated to this functionality (Mex Nember) will ring simultaneously when an incoming call arrives to the PABX extension where the FXO interface is connected. If the communication with MEx Number is enabled, it will be possible to restore the communication with the PABX. From MEx Number you will be able to forward the call to a PABX extension.
Digit # on the mobile phone; 3G Gateway will reproduce the flash to the PABX; on the MEx Number it will hear the dial tone and it will possible to dial a PABX extension (i.e. 101). In the meantime the person of the first call is on hold. When 101 extension answers, you will be able to put it in communication with the first person (who is on hold) simply hanging up or pressing # again, the on hold call will be enabled. Note: The # character, used as flash button on the mobile phone (MEx Number) can be modified in the (Line FXO) GSM code for Flash menu. Calls to the mobile phone number of the SIM in 3G Gateway In this application the only number authorized to call the 3G Gateway SIM is the MEx Number. The gateway will engage the PABX extension connected to FXO with the possibility to dial an extension or to engage the eventual line. Eventual incoming calls from other numbers will be cut down. Outogoing calls from (Phone 1) The numbers typed from FXS Phone will be dialed on the FXO interface. It is possible to make a call passing through the SIM in 3G Gateway typing 0# code before the number (Code for GSM call).
3.3.1 FXS Configuration of FXS (Tel) interface. Enable CLIR (Caller Line ID Restriction) If CLIR is enabled, 3G Gateway is set not to send its own number (SIM telephone number), the receiver will see private number. Flash detection max (ms) It indicates the maximum time of line interruption that the device interprets as Flash. A longer time of line interruption is interpreted as a disconnection. Supplementary services (They must be supported by the mobile/sim operator you use in order to be managed) Call waiting The Call Waiting service allows to be informed of an incoming call when you are already in a conversation. To answer the incoming call, put on Hold the current conversation by pressing R2 (flash+2). Pressing R2 again you can switch from a conversation to another. To close the current call and take the one on hold, press R1 (flash+1). Multiparty service It allows to enable a simultaneous conversation with 2 people. To enable the Multiple Conversation press R3 (flash+3) on the phone connected to 3G Gateway. Here below the services managed by 3G Gateway (depending on the mobile/sim operator you use). No WEB configuration menu must be enabled. HOLD During a conversation the user can put the call on hold by pressing R (flash) on the phone connected to 3G Gateway. Pressing R agin the on hold call will be restored. ACO, Additional Call Offering After the conversation (R) has been put on hold, the user will hear the dial tone and will be able to make a second call. With R1, R2 and R3 you will be able to manage to simultaneous calls (see Call waiting and Multiparty service). Call Forwarding If supported by the mobile/sim operator you use, 3G Gateway allows to manage the call forwarding to a specific xxxxx number (unconditioned, busy, not answered). In order to enable/disable these services it will be sufficient to digit some codes from the phone connected to the FXS interface of 3G Gateway. Unconditioned Call Farwording Activation: *21*xxxxx#
Deactivation: #21# Call Forwarding when Busy Activation: *67*xxxxx# Deactivation: #67# Call Forwarding when not answered Activation: *61*xxxxx# Deactivation: #61# FXO Configuration page for FXO (Line) interface. Autocall number: in some applications (Corporate and Integra),after the SIM in 3G Gateway receives a call, it is possible to automatically call a telephone number. Insert the number you want to call in Autocall number fild. Flash (generation - ms): It s the line stop time that 3G Gateway reproduces to its FXO interface (to the PABX) when, in the Mobile Extension application, it receives the DTMF set in GSM code for Flash. GSM code for Flash (#): It defines the DTMF code that MEX will have to digit so that 3G Gateway sends a flash to the PABX (FXO) in the Mobile Extension application.
