3 Display Guide Your new telephone is operated in a completely new way. At all times the display shows you what functions are currently possible and how to use them. Get to know your phone and spend some time trying out all it can do, both when in use and at rest. Scrolling does not change an existing situation. 1) Your phone shows you which functions are currently possible e.g. Meier Rückfrage? > 2) You can scroll to other functions with the "Next" and "Back" dialog keys. ) You use the "Yes" dialog key to confirm if you want to use the displayed function. You can always scroll through all dialog functions, even during a call. The displayed function is only activated when the "Yes" dialog key is pressed. Canceling Service Menu To leave the Service Menu, you cannot just replace the handset. There are the following possibilities: or Scroll "Cancel" and confirm The Service Menu is cancelled Press "0" key Note: The Service Menu is also cancelled after 60 seconds of inactivity. The "0" key can also take you back a level at other positions in the Service Menu. Explanation of symbols
4 Display texts and characters Display texts 1. Zeile Time and date when at rest Caller internal / external e.g. the "internal number" or "name", "number" or "office". Input requests e.g. "Please dial" Received messages e.g. "Will call back" Activated functions e.g. "Divert to Meier" 2. Zeile Functions you can activate e.g. "Start conference?" Display characters >? If this character appears on the right-hand side of the last line in the display, it means that more functions are available. Scroll through with the dialog keys and If there is a question mark after a function, you can activate that function by pressing the dialog key 4 Explanation of symbols

6 Taking calls Taking calls Your phone rings look at the display! Hands-free call Your phone rings look at the display! Freisprechen Switching to hands-free operation You are talking and want to switch to hands-free operation. Freisprechen Hold key down Loudspeaker You can switch the loudspeaker on or off during a call. 7 Consulting You are on a call "Consult?" is displayed. First call waits. Dial other subscriber's number. Conduct consultation call. End consultation call: Confirm "Back to waiting call" with "Yes" dialog key and continue first call. Note: If the subscriber is engaged or does not reply, go back to the first call with the "Cut" key. If the subscriber's number is stored on a name key (short dialing), simply press this key to consult him. Passing on call You are conducting a call and would like to pass it on to an internal subscriber "Consult?" is displayed: First call waits. Dial other subscriber's number. When the subscriber answers, replace the handset. Note: If the subscriber is engaged or does not reply, return to the first call using the "Cut" key. If the subscriber's number is stored on a name key (target dialing), simply press this key to pass the call on. Basic functions 7
8 Dialing Internal Dial number External 0 Enter code "0". Dial number External "private" * 0 Enter code "*0". Dial number Note: No dial tone will be heard after entering "*0". Note: You can also dial without lifting the handset. The loudspeaker comes on automatically when the first figure has been entered. When the subscriber answers, lift the handset. If the subscriber does not reply or is engaged, press the "Cut" key or replace the handset. 8 Basic functions
9 Call lists If you cannot take an external and/or internal call, this call request is stored in the call list. Calls taken can also be stored in the call list if this is specified for your phone. Your phone saves the last 6 outgoing and the last 12 incoming calls in time order. Every call has a time stamp. The display starts with the latest entry on the list that has not been called up. If there is more than one call from the same caller, this does not produce a new entry in the call list every time, it only up-dates the last time stamp for that caller. Calling up call list or Scroll to "Incoming calls" and confirm. Scroll to "Outgoing calls?" and confirm. 1 st call is displayed: subscriber, reason, date and time Note: The call list starts with the latest call request that has not been called up. If there is more than one call from the same caller, the number of calls is displayed. Other functions 9
10 Displaying other calls from the call list Requirement You call up the call list, the first call is displayed. Scroll to "Next call?" and confirm Dialing numbers from the call list Requirement You call up the call list, the call you want is displayed. Scroll to "Retrieve?" and confirm. The subscriber is called. Deleting an entry from the call list Requirement You call up the call list, the call you want is displayed. Scroll to "Delete?" and confirm. The subscriber is deleted. 10 Other functions
11 Redial You can store a dialed number even during the call. Numbers of calls from internal and external ISDN subscribers can also be stored. Only one space is available for redial - every new number stored overwrites the previous one. Storing number Wahlwiederholung The number last dialed Is stored. 12 Callback The internal subscriber you want to contact is engaged or does not reply "Callback?" is shown on the display: You are called back by the system / subscriber as soon as the subscriber "is free", has used his phone again, or the subscriber executes the callback stored in the Mailbox. Accepting a callback Your phone rings: Lift handset - You hear the ringing tone until you are connected to the subscriber. Check / delete callback Scroll to "Display callbacks?" and confirm Follow the instructions. Note: The number of callbacks you can store depends on the system setting. If a callback is not taken after four rings, the instruction is deleted. 12 Other functions
13 Target dialing You can store internal or external numbers on the option keys of the phone and the optiset E key module (accessory). Storing / checking numbers on name key Name Go to "Service Menu" on display. Confirm "Service Menu". Press name key (option key). Follow the instructions on the display! Dialing with name key Name The stored number Is dialed. Note: To store external numbers the figure 0 must be entered first. Other functions 1
14 Diverting calls Saving / deleting target for fixed call diversion Scroll to "Service Menu" on display. Confirm "Service Menu". Confirm "Targets". Scroll to "Fixed diversion?" and confirm. Follow the instructions on the display! Switching on call diversion to variable target Scroll to "Variable diversion?" and confirm. Enter number. Save diversion and switch on. Switching on fixed call diversion Scroll to "Fixed diversion on?" and confirm. Switching off fixed / variable call diversion Scroll to "Diversion off?" and confirm. Note: When switched off, the variable call diversion is deleted, although the fixed call diversion remains in place. 14 Other functions
15 Mailbox Callers' callback requests are stored in your Mailbox. Note: The Mailbox function in connection with voic is described in the "Voice Mail Service" instructions. Calling up / retrieving Mailbox Briefkasten Retrieve message: Scroll to next message with "Mailbox" key. Press "Next" key and confirm "Retrieve?" Other functions 15
16 Additional functions Broker's call / conference You are conducting a call "Consult?" is displayed. Scroll to Broker's Call or Conference and confirm. Follow the instructions on the display. Appointments Scroll to "Service Menu" in the display. Confirm "Service Menu". Scroll to "Appointments" and confirm. Follow the instructions on the display.
