A: The cost of any extra features you use will come out of your balance, so be sure to keep money in your cash balance in order to use any extra services. Q: What happens if I go over my Anytime Minutes? How much are additional minutes? A: Additional minutes are just 10 each. If you think you might run out of minutes in a month, make sure you have enough money in your cash balance to cover the cost of any additional minutes you want to use. That s because the cost of additional minutes is charged to your cash balance even if you re paying for your monthly charge with a credit card, debit card, or PayPal. Q: How do I keep my service active? A: Since there is no annual contract, all you have to do to keep your monthly service working is either keep a registered credit card, debit card, or PayPal account on file with us, or pay your monthly balance using Top-Up cards. Q: Can my account ever expire? A: If your monthly charge didn t go through because there was a problem with your credit card, debit card, or PayPal account and if you go 120 days after that without fixing your account, your service will expire and you will lose your phone number and any money left in your cash balance. Once you fix your payment method and pay the outstanding monthly charge you can start talking again, with the Beyond Talk Plan you selected! Q: What is the customer return policy? A: Customers should first follow the policy at the retail location. A: Starting March 23, 2012, if you use over 2.5GB of data during your monthly cycle, your data speeds may be reduced to 256kbps or below for the rest of that monthly plan cycle. During this time, you may experience slower page loads and file downloads, and lags in streaming media. Data speeds will return to normal as soon as your next plan month starts. If you d rather not wait for your new month to start, you can restart your plan immediately through My Account.

9 Q. How will I know if I hit 2.5GB? A: If you reach 2.5GB of data during your monthly cycle, your data speeds may be reduced to 256 kbps or below for the rest of that monthly plan cycle. If your data speeds are reduced for the rest of your plan month, you will receive a text message notifying you of this change. If you are susceptible to data speed reduction, you can check how much data you ve used at any time during the month by logging into My Account, and checking Data & Web history. Q. How much data is 2.5GB? A. To give you an idea, it s about 400,000 mobile internet page views, about 90,000(!) s (without attachments), 91 hours of streaming music, or 20 hours of video clips. *Data usage per activity is based on an average. Bandwidth varies by website, video, , and other internet application. Q: What exactly will customers experience if throughput speeds are reduced? A: When Beyond Talk customers reach 2.5GB of data usage within a current monthly cycle, throughput speed limited to a maximum of 256 kbps for the remainder of that plan cycle. Customers will continue to have access to data service without a cap, but for the duration of the cycle [i.e., up until the next monthly plan cycle begins] may experience slower page loads, file downloads and degraded streaming media. Throughput speeds will be restored when a new Beyond Talk monthly plan cycle begins, giving customers a fresh slate for the month. Customers still have unlimited access to 3G data service with no data overage charges, and it s likely that the vast majority of customers, approximately 95%, won t notice the difference given current usage reports. Q: Why has Virgin Mobile decided to reduce data speeds at a set threshold? A: This change comes about because of the enormous data usage driven by our new more sophisticated smartphones, and the more extensive uses customers are finding for these devices. We want to be able to serve our Beyond Talk customers who use these unlimited plans for their data-centric daily activity, primarily for regular access to , the Internet, and social networking sites. Our goal is to ensure our products perform at the best possible level and that we have the best possible experience for all subscribers. These control options are similar to those other carriers have in place and that Virgin Mobile maintains for its Broadband2Go product as well. These plans are still unlimited.
