2 2 The Curriculum at St Paul s 207 The curriculum offered at St Paul s reflects that: St Paul s is a Catholic College. Allows our students to be successful and achieve outstanding results. The National Curriculum Requirements. Government reforms. Provides a broad and balanced experience and allows students to progress to the next Key Stage. The timetable consists of 30, 0 minute lessons per week for all Years 7 to. The Key Stage 3 Curriculum This spans two years, Years 7 and 8. Currently studying the full EBacc is not compulsory but all students must choose at least optional EBacc subject as part of their GCSE programme. Students follow one of two pathways best suited to their individual needs. In Year only, Media Studies, Graphics and Resistant Materials are studying old specifications. With the new specifications students will be awarded a GCSE grade from 9 to, with 9 being the highest grade, in their GCSE examinations at the end of Year. Some subjects have a Non Examination component, NEA, which is completed in school and marked by their class teacher but externally moderated by the examination board.
