4 Questionnaire ESSNET - COMMON REFERENCE ARCHITECTURE () QUESTIONNAIRE Date due: 22-February-2010 Background: The main objective of the ESSNET () project is to define a common architecture, starting from the GSBPM model, flexible and modular, which can be easily changed and permitting different parties to contribute to the implementation and different organisations to be free to use the modules they need. The architecture is intended to facilitate software sharing. This questionnaire is designed to ask NSIs about requirements and shared software. The IT Directors Group has given support to the conducting of this survey (ref. minutes of the ITDG meeting, October 2009). Final versions of the Set of requirements and the State of the art analysis for the COmmon Reference Architecture will be publicly available in April Individual results regarding software will be published on the Software Sharing part of the MSIS (Management of Statistical Information Systems) wiki ( Those respondents that complete this questionnaire will receive a copy of the Set of requirements and the State of the art analysis reports by . They will also receive a copy of the individual results from all the other respondents. Instructions for completion: The questionnaire is divided into 7 sections. Each section comprises a table with questions in the left hand column (in bold). The right hand column contains ubquestions (in bold) and space for answers. The use of this model can also be envisaged in other separate, but often related contexts such as harmonizing statistical computing infrastructures, facilitating the sharing of software components, and providing a framework for process quality assessment and improvement. The GSBPM comprises four levels: Level 0, the statistical business process; Level 1, the nine phases of the statistical business process; Level 2, the sub-processes within each phase; Level 3, a description of those sub-processes.
