Units in this course View Units Description The business world offers rewarding career choices that are wide and varied - from advising on employment relations issues, managing employees or interpreting financial documents - to an emphasis on risk assessment and management-communications. In whatever part of the business world you can see yourself playing a role, the Griffith Bachelor of Business (BBus) gives students the flexibility to combine major and/or specialisation streams to suit their own business interests. This degree offers you a choice of majors and the opportunity for additional majors and/or specialisations: Majors Human Resource Management Management Specialisations Finance Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (OHSE) This course includes units from Griffith University and other universities through OUA.

2 Career Outcomes Competent and competitive in many areas, you will be able to select from a wide range of career options within the public and private sectors including: administration business management human resource management managerial strategy organisational change organisational management planning and policy public relations recruitment and selection staff training and development. Transition Arrangements Students who have previously completed units from the Bachelor of Business Studies (Monash), but now wish to complete the Bachelor of Business (Griffith) should refer to the table of Griffith unit equivalences. Students are also recommended to register for the Bachelor of Business (Griffith) in order to receive credit and study options advice by contacting the Off Campus and Assignment Handling Services. Award Requirements To be eligible for the award of Griffith Bachelor of Business (BBus) through Open Universities Australia, a student must acquire 24 units as prescribed below: complete 8 Level 1 Business Introductory core units complete one Griffith University Business award major consisting of 8 units and either: a second major (and approved electives to total 8 units) from those offered by Open Universities Australia which must be identified as a major by the other faculty and completed according to their requirements or complete 8 elective units which can be chosen from one of the specialisations listed or from any undergraduate course offered by Open Universities Australia provided you meet the award requirements When planning your studies you must also meet the following requirements to receive this award: complete no more than 10 Level 1 units complete at least 6 Level 3 units at least eight units (or one-third of the degree) must be Griffith Business School units studied via Open Universities Australia complete no more than 3 units in which the grade of Pass Conceded has been attained. Recognition of Prior Learning / Credit Students may be able to receive credit for previous studies conducted at other institutions. Please contact the Administration Officer, Off Campus and Assignment Handling Services at Griffith prior to registering in any units through Open Universities Australia.

3 Registering in this Course Students are required to register with Griffith University for this award by completing a registration form and paying the required fee. The non-refundable $100 registration fee is payable when the form is submitted. While there is no immediate requirement for potential students to register in the degree course, students who are transitioning into this award are recommended to register as soon as possible in order to receive advice on credit and unit selection.
