1 Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technology (ICT30115) Real Skills for Real Careers Vocational Education and Training Summary What is a Certificate III in Information Technology all about? This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in a wide range of general information and communications technology (ICT) technical functions and to achieve a degree of self-sufficiency as an advanced ICT user. Persons working at this level will support information technology activities in the workplace across a wide range of ICT areas, including technical support, network administration, web technologies, software applications and digital media technologies. Outcome Upon successful completion of this course, participants will obtain a nationally recognised qualification: Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technology ICT30115 Job Roles IT Trainees Government Incentives LLN (Language Literacy and Numeracy) Prerequisite/Entry Requirements IT Technician Mantra Training & Development are an approved provider of Traineeships in the ACT and NSW. This is great news for employers may be eligible for incentives that can subsidise the cost of completing the: Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technology All participants will be required to complete a LLN Assessment to enable the best support requirements to be identified. LLN assessments are assessed against the ACSF and CSfW to identify suitability of the clients against the qualification requirements and students learning capacity. * Under ACT Funded programs this is a mandatory requirement. There are no prerequisite/entry requirements for this course. See electives list for individual units of competency prerequisites. Pathways from the qualification After achieving the ICT30115 Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technology, candidates may undertake ICT40215 Certificate IV Information Technology Support or ICT40415 Certificate IV Information Technology Networking.

2 Units of Competency Total number of units = 17 6 core units plus 11 elective units The elective units consist of: 5 units from one of the following specialist elective groups: o Group A Applications o Group B Network administration o Group C Support o Group D Web technologies o Group E Multimedia up to 6 from any of the specialist elective groups below or from Group F general elective units below up to 3 from elsewhere in ICT Information and Communications Technology Training Package or any other Training Package or accredited course at Certificate III or IV level. The elective units chosen must be relevant to the work outcome and meet local industry needs. 5 Course Costs Full Fee for Service $ (GST Free) Skilled Capital $350.00* Skilled Capital $350.00* Skilled Capital is an ACT Government training Initiative, funded by the ACT and Australian Governments Contact the office for more options and details on government funded programs, eligibility and conditions of enrolment. We will assess if you are eligible for a Fee Concession and fee waiver. If you are eligible for a fee concession you will be liable for a $200 administration fee. If you meet the Fee Waiver conditions you will not be required to pay the $ Administration fee. All fees will be determined based on your individual circumstances including financial hardship. If you are not eligible for a fee concession Skilled Capital or any other government funded program, you will be required to pay the full FFS (Fee For Service) tuition fee. Students who successfully complete the qualification under the Skilled Capital program will be eligible for a $300 completion incentive paid directly to the student upon completing the qualification and mandatory survey. Students will be eligible to receive the completion payment for up to one (1) year after successful completion of the qualification, provided up to date and bank account details are confirmed. A student is not eligible for a completion payment where more than 50% of the units are completed through RPL and/or credit transfer.
