5 Page: 5/26 Select the corresponding job role (profession) skill portal. E.g. you open the profession e- security manager. The you select Register in the menu and select the right training / exam organisation to register with. This opens a registration form. Figure 2: Registration Form Fill out the requested field and register to the system. After you have registered to the system you are also automatically logged in. Once logged in you can browse the skill card, perform a self assessment and connect to the learning management system (see the Capability Adviser Users Guide for more information and step 3). Figure 4: Login Window at the ECQA site Examination Services Step 3 Start the Exam After the participant logs in the main windows with the skill card, menu and the help window opens. An additional online guide on how to perform the exam can also be found in the help window. From the menu select Exam and Perform to start with the test. Page 7 of 11

9 Page: 9/26 Once you selected START the exam begins. Step 4: Perform the Exam The exam displays general personal and exam data, and a certification ID. If you pass the exam your certificate will carry this number. The exam has been randomly generated and has been personally created by the system. Thus even with 2 people doing the exam at the same time, the questions will differ for both. Concerning timing the system generates 10 questions for each learning element. You can count a maximum of 1,5 minutes per question in average. Figure 7: Sample Multiple Choice Test Questions Page 9 of 11

11 Page: 11/26 Step 5: View the Test Results To view the test results you need to select Exam and then Result from the menu. This will open a new window with the exam results of your achieved percent ratings. A certification requires 70% coverage of a learning element. Next Steps The training organisation will submit your details to the ECQA Certification Board, which will issue and end out a Certificate.
