8 Technology Tracks Overview What is a Technology Track? A pre-defined package service to enable integration and/or certification with specific Veritas products. What are the requirements to participate? Partner completes an application form which is reviewed by engineering product teams. If the company s proposed solution fits with the Veritas strategy, goals, and is not a competing solution, the partner signs a technology track agreement. What are the fees to join a technology track? Fees are $10,000 per product to perform testing and certification. Exception: Cloud Solution Technology Track, which includes NBU Cloud, Backup Exec Cloud, and CloudPoint and priced at $15,000. All technology track partners must first be a VTE program member. Annual program membership fee is $4,000.

10 Technology Tracks Backup Exec Cloud Storage Certify your cloud storage solution with Backup Exec by having your interface that is compatible with Amazon S3 certified with the Backup Exec Connector for Amazon S3. Enterprise Vault API Integrate applications with EV APIs to add new content to the archive, filter, classify, or decrypt content Search content within the archive The availability of APIs and SDKs provide technology partners with the tools to build customized solutions Enterprise Vault Storage High-performance file-based (via CIFS/SMB) and object-based (via API) storage solutions for use with Enterprise Vault.

11 Technology Tracks InfoScale Enterprise Vault ASL Integrate primary storage devices with Dynamic Multi-Patching (DMP), thin provision Discovery and Reclamation technologies Partners test plug-in tools using automated self-test tool InfoScale Availability Integrate applications with InfoScale Availability for high availability failover using an application-specific agent Certified agents enable InfoScale Availability to monitor an application and restart it automatically should any fault occur NetBackup NAS/NDMP This technology track includes certification testing of NAS/NDMP devices with NetBackup.

12 Technology Tracks NetBackup OpenStorage (OST) Disk-based storage platform integration with NBU for better management, performance, and utilization of storage assets. Using OST-enabled devices, NetBackup administrators can leverage replication and data deduplication features NetBackup Cloud Storage Certify your cloud storage solution with NetBackup by testing your S3-compatible interface with the NetBackup S3 Connector. Included in this certification is Veritas CloudPoint. NetBackup XBSA NBU XBSA Enables an application to create, query, retrieve and delete data objects using NetBackup for backup or archiving purposes. The interface extends the XBSA specification using rules and policies defined by NetBackup for ease of use and enhanced performance.

13 Technology Tracks NetBackup Tape Drive Certification testing of Tape Drives with NetBackup NetBackup Tape Library Certification testing of virtual Tape Libraries with NetBackup Resiliency Platform Workload and recovery management for a given app or virtual machine using the replication technology Plug-in enables the platform to start, stop and monitor Automate data recovery should any fault occur on production.

14 Technology Tracks Data Insight Solutions are certified that use the Query language (DQL) to retrieve items that are visible to Data Insight Cloud Solution Certify your cloud storage solution with NetBackup, Backup Exec and CloudPoint by testing your interface that is compatible with S3 with the Veritas-supplied Connector for Amazon S3.
