4 Continuing Education Course Evaluation Results: 2007 In 2007, a total of 6,796 students enrolled in 476 continuing education courses offered at Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) 1. This report presents the results of course evaluations completed by those students. Table 1 displays responses to three general questions about courses and instructors. Ninetytwo percent of students felt that the course they completed met their expectations, would recommend their instructor to others, and would take another course from the same instructor. Ratings were given for six evaluation criteria. The majority of students gave excellent ratings on all criteria; the highest percentage of students gave an excellent rating for Willingness to Answer Questions (81%). Less than 1% of students gave below average or poor ratings on any criterion. 5 Table 3 presents the sources where students first learned about the courses for which they were enrolled. The most common information source was a flyer or brochure (41%). The least common source was the newspaper (6%). The most widely used registration method was online registration (38%), followed by in-person registration (35%). Most students (92%) were satisfied with the registration process.
