Our Cramlington Campus has the right course for you whether: you want to return to learning and develop yourself you want to learn new skills you want to return to work after time off you want to progress in your current job. We offer a friendly and relaxed learning environment where you can develop new skills and gain qualifications while making new friends Flexible study We offer daytime, evening and weekend study, so no matter what your lifestyle we will have a course to suit you. National tests in adult literacy and numeracy The new national tests in literacy and numeracy can provide you with a clear and reliable measurement of your achievement and skills. The benefits to you of taking part include: increased confidence motivation to go onto bigger and better things a qualification in Maths or English that can improve your CV a stepping stone to further qualifications a qualification valued by employers. The tests are available at two levels and are designed to measure skills at an equivalent level to other national tests. For more information on national tests telephone Free Study Further Education Courses You will not have to pay for your course if you are aged 16 years or over and fulfil one of the following criteria: 1. You are under 19 on 31 August You receive one of these benefits: Jobseekers Allowance Council Tax Benefit (NOT single occupancy discount) Housing Benefit Income Support Working Tax Credits d Pension Credits d 3. You are an Asylum Seeker receiving the equivalent of a means tested benefit. 4. You wish to enrol on an Essential Skills course. 5. You are studying on one or more courses a Newcastle College as a full-time student. This usually means studying for around 15 hours more a week during the college year. Reduced Costs If you are over 19 you may be eligible for a 50% reduction in course fees providing you fulfil one of the following criteria: 1. You are an individual with a gross income of less than 12,000 pa. 2. You are an unwaged dependant of family with joint gross income less than 20,000 pa. 3.
