Some qualifications have an internally assessed component, which is externally moderated. Specifications and other support items are available on our website at qualifications.pearson.com/lcci-qualifications LCCI qualifications are currently offered in four main suites, which cover a range of vocational areas.. Examination guidance For guidance on conducting examinations, examination stationery and how to track the delivery of the question papers we send you please see qualifications.pearson.com/en/qualifications/lcci/support.html You must also review the subject specific page for additional relevant information including the Instructions for Conducting Examinations (ICE) document, if applicable.. 29 TRAINING 7 4 Training 4. Launch events 4. Ready to Teach events 4. Effectiveness events 4.4 Further information 4
30 8 TRAINING 4 4 Training Pearson offers three different types of LCCI training events, as follows: 4. Launch events Launch events are an opportunity for Pearson to introduce a new qualification or suite of qualifications. Normally delivered online, these sessions are designed to give centres and learners an understanding of the new qualification and, if relevant, how it differs from previous versions of the qualification. These events are delivered by subject experts and so present a good opportunity for centres and learners to ask questions. 4. Getting Ready to Teach events Once a new specification has been made available to centres, Getting Ready to Teach events are offered. Run with a subject specialist and covering the qualification(s) in detail, these events are designed to ensure teachers are comfortable with the content and what they need to teach. These events will often include group activities that explore ways of delivering and teaching aspects of the qualifications. 4. Effectiveness events These events can take one of two forms: understanding exam results events and refresher/personal development events. Exam result events are for qualifications offered through series assessments. The training is based on the Examiners' report and highlights areas in which learners have excelled or require improvement. Refresher/personal development events are designed for teachers who need a refresher on particular qualifications they have been delivering and are keen to learn more from a Subject Advisor. 4.4 Further information For information about upcoming LCCI training events, please contact TeachingLCCI@Pearson.com
