6 EOPA Sign Off Process Required signoff needed by: System superintendent in the EOPA On-line Application Under the Pathway Completers District Summary and Signoff Report Required even if no students were tested; but system receives Perkins funding Complete EOPA On-line Application after student records submission Obtain superintendent signoff early 9/2/2014 6

7 End-of-Pathway Assessment Origin Initiated as a result of Federal Perkins IV Legislation: Core Indicator 2S1: Technical Skill Attainment Mandated states to measure technical skill attainment Using measures that are proven reliable/valid and aligned with industry validated standards 9/2/2014 7

8 Georgia Technical Skill Attainment Inventory Our inventory consists of four different types of exams: national, industry-recognized credentialing exams state licensure exams national occupational assessments state-developed occupational assessments Engineering; Teaching as a Profession; Plant Science/Horticulture 9/2/2014 8

9 EOPA Data: EOPA Data Use Collected and reported to the Office of Vocational and Adult Education (OVAE) In December of each year through the Consolidated Annual Report (CAR) Provides performance data on all six of the Perkins Core Indicators; not just 2S1 (Technical Skill Attainment) Other five core indicators include: Academic Attainment Secondary School Diploma Graduation Rate Secondary Placements Non-traditional participation/completion 9/2/2014 9
