2 3. Attach a workstation to the Management VLAN and demonstrate a successful login to the switch at the privileged exec mode, with a session transcript or screenshot.

3 4. Explain the purpose of VLAN 1: The default VLAN assigned to the switch is VLAN 1. It s basically the landing zone or non usable zone for all ports that are not assigned to other VLAN s. 5. Detail the requirements to communicate between devices on the same VLAN: All hosts that are on the same network address and subnet are able to connect to the ports assigned to the same VLAN. 6. Detail the requirements to communicate between devices on the same VLAN: All host addresses are supposed to be assigned to there designate networks which are assigned to their VLAN s. Support of the Layer 3 switching or have a router connected (attached) to the switch, enables the switch to communicate. 7. What is the effect on L2 broadcasts when a switch is segment into VLAN S: The L2 broadcasts have limitations with there designated VLAN S and are not to transverse the network through their respective VLAN. 8. Provide a listing of the switch configuration in your report: DCRSW#show run Building configuration...
