18 Comparison to 2012 Paper Relationship between pressure and rate of formation of leaks: Leaks form at a rate of 1.56 leaks / 100 km / year of age at an average pressure of 8 bar. For this network (4 bar) translates to 0.78 leaks per 100 km. First 1400 km surveyed ~ 156 leaks should have formed. 150 leaks were found Relationship between pressure and leak size: Adjusting for pressure we should see an average leak of 5.3 m 3 / hr (4 bar) Multiplying by 80 leaks, this should amount to 10.2MLD. 80 leaks have been measured and total volume is 10.MLD Fair assumption therefore that total savings is 25 MLD 2012 data almost perfectly matches the results from EchoShore -M 18
