1 Telkom is pleased to announce the Huawei Joburg Day tickets Promotion This promotion ( Huawei Joburg day tickets ) is organized and run by Huawei ( Huawei ) and Telkom SA SOC Limited ( Telkom ), including its affiliates, partners, associations and agents ( Organizers ). The promotion is open for entry by all South African residents aged 18 years and older with a valid South African identity document, except employees of the Organizers and its, advertising and/or promotion agencies, outlet owners, retailers and wholesalers that form part of the promotion and their immediate families. The promotion is not open for entry by or on behalf of a legal entity. The promotion will be executed in the Republic of South Africa. 1 How to receive tickets: Telkom customers who purchase any of the following devices: a Huawei P9, Huawei P9 Plus and / or Huawei Mate 8 at the selected Gauteng stores listed in paragraph 2.2 below will instantly receive 2 x Huawei Joburg Day tickets. This is only applicable for successful activations only (customers whose orders were processed and approved). The tickets and handsets per store are available while stocks last. There are a limited number of Huawei Joburg Day tickets available. A natural person An existing or new Telkom Mobile customer South African citizens or a permanent resident with a valid South African identity document and be 18 years and older 4 Who is not eligible to enter: Participation in this promotion excludes employees, directors, members, partners, consultants and agents of, or any other person who, directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the Promoters 2

3 or marketing service providers of this promotion, (and the spouses, life partners, immediate family members or business partners of the people or entities listed above. This means: The Promoters; Supplier/s of goods and or services in terms of this promotion; and Promotional partners, printers, advertising and promotional agencies, professional advisors and point of sale staff employed by or contracted to, or providing goods or services of any kind, to all the people or entities listed above during the Period of the promotion. 5 What are the selection criteria? Only entrants who have purchased any of the following devices: Huawei P9, P9 plus and / or Huawei Mate 8 devices on a 24 month contract at the selected Gauteng stores, The customer will be given 2x free tickets immediately after purchase. According to POPI legislature (Protection of Personal Information) it is required that personal details are not posted on Telkom official social media mediums for purposes of personal security. Prizes are not transferable, cannot be amended, deferred, cancelled or exchanged or redeemed for cash and cannot be sold. It is not negotiable. 6 The prize: The prize inventory includes: A limited amount of Huawei Joburg Day tickets 7 What are the Timelines? Telkom reserves the right to change or amend advertised dates, once publically communicated. Duration is from 15 August until 2 September 2016 The Huawei Joburg day event takes place on 3 September

4 Once date changes are publically communicated, the information will be deemed accepted by the participants. The promotion commences at, 00h00 15 August 2016 on and ends on 02 September h59. 8 Standard terms and conditions for the promotion These are standard terms and conditions for the Telkom Huawei Joburg Day tickets which are in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act. All entrants, by participating in this promotion accept and agree to comply with the Telkom Huawei Joburg Day Terms and Conditions. Telkom s decision in selecting the winner/s is final and no correspondence in this regard will be entered into. Telkom SA SOC Ltd reserves the right to cancel the promotion at any time, if deemed necessary in its opinion or if circumstances arise that are outside of its control, and will not be liable to entrants in such event for any cause or action whatsoever. All Telkom s decisions on the Telkom Huawei Joburg Day promotion are final. 9 Telkom Huawei Joburg Day promotion disclaimers Telkom is and will not be held responsible for any costs or expenses directly or indirectly incurred when participants enter the Telkom Huawei Joburg Day promotion. The 2 tickets will be given to the winner at the stores. The winners will not receive the prize if misrepresentation, fraud or any illegal activity when entering the Telkom Huawei Joburg Day promotion was engaged in. In this event, the prize will be forfeited. Telkom may disqualify an entrant should any rule transgressions be discovered. The winner agrees that their participation in the promotion, and your acceptance and/or use of a prize, or any aspect thereof, is at their own risk. 4

5 Entrants take part in the promotion at their own risk and Telkom SA SOC Ltd, bears no responsibility for any loss, damage or harm suffered as a result of participation. Telkom and/or its authorised agents may take, capture, record and/or use their names, voices, photographic images or video images for the purpose of promotion and/or publicity campaigns, with the consent of the winner/s unless the winner specifically declines to do so. Telkom and its affiliates will not be responsible, and disclaim all liability, for any loss, liability, injury, expense or damage caused once the prize has been received. For purposes hereof, "affiliate" means Telkom s vendors, customer partners or employees. These terms and conditions will be construed, interpreted and enforced in accordance with the applicable laws of the Republic of South Africa. Telkom reserves the right to amend these Standard Terms and Conditions for the Telkom Huawei Joburg Day promotion at any time and will publish all relevant detail on our website ( and/or official Telkom social platforms.
