MoCA 2.0 Up to 1 Gbps actual throughputs. 400 Mbps and 800 Mbps performance modes also available. Standby and sleep mode for greater power management Packet error rate (PER) of one in 100 million 90 percent outlet coverage. Backward interoperable with MoCA 1.1
MoCA 2.0 Field Tests More than 200 homes in the U.S. tested. Homeowners were volunteers Tests conducted in cable, telco and satellite pay TV environments. Tested over any age and condi3on of coaxial cabling. 400 Mbps in 90 percent of all coaxial outlets 350 Mbps in 95 percent of all coaxial outlets. Currently conduc3ng tests in South Africa (Mul3Choice), Israel (Yes) and China.
MoCA 2.5 Now Available Performance Enhancement Numerous performance profiles and data rate profiles corresponding to needs and requirements of the network. Up to 2.5 Gbps actual data rates Addi3onal capabili3es: MoCA Protected Setup (MPS): Password sharing via pushbukon(similar to Wi-Fi) Management Proxy Enhanced Privacy Network Wide Beacon Power Bridge Detec3on Backward interoperable with MoCA 2.0/MoCA 1.1.
AddiConal MoCA 2.5 Performance Profiles Addi3onal performance profiles enables MoCA 2.0 devices to be upgraded and take advantage of the addi3onal feature set of MoCA 2.5. Profile B: 400 Mb/s net data rate up to 16 nodes, and 500 Mbps in turbo mode (two nodes only). Profile C: 800 Mb/s net data rate with channel bonding up to 16 nodes, and 1 Gbps in turbo mode (two nodes only). Profile D: 1.5 Gbps, 2 Gbps and 2.5 Gbps net data rates up to 16 nodes.
MoCA Technology Roadmap Demonstrated 100+ Mbps Demonstrated 400 Mbps data rates in 90% of all outlets Actual data rates in 97% of all outlets 212 Homes (U.S.) 250 homes (U.S.) 100 Mbps MHz operahng frequency 175 Mbps PQoS 400/800Mbps/1Gbps Expanded operahng frequency to accommodate satellite operators MHz One packet error (PER) in 100 million Sleep and standby power modes Expanded operahng frequency MHz Backward interoperable Up to 2.5Gbps net data rate MoCA protected setup (MPS) Management proxy Enhanced privacy Network-wide Beacon Power Bridge detechon Backward interoperable
Announcing Today: MoCA Access MoCA entering network access market. Ini3al specifica3on to be based on MoCA 2.0 with migra3on toward MoCA 2.5. Specifica3on based on MoCA 2.0 available in mid Roadmap with enhanced performance and addi3onal features in development.
MoCA Access Benefits Network access requires high performance and high reliability. MoCA has proven it is the fastest and most reliable technology standard in the industry. 1 Gbps required by operators worldwide. MoCA 2.0 is capable of 1 Gbps. MoCA 2.5 capable of 2.5 Gbps Coaxial infrastructure already exists in most MDUs worldwide. MoCA uses exis3ng wiring.
MoCA Access Market Segments Operators driving fiber deep into the network or to the building (FTTB) and want to leverage exis3ng wiring without sacrificing performance. ISPs building fiber-based networks that terminate the op3cal signal in the basement and use the exis3ng coax to reach each unit or apartment, for a more cost-effec3ve solu3on that addresses the market now; Commercial integrators designing and installing networks in hospitality, restaurants, offices and any other buildings that have coax already installed.
Summary Fastest and most reliable home networking technology standard in the world. MoCA technology applied to network access/mdus. Technology roadmap that will increase performance and network management capabili3es. Proven technology used by operators worldwide. Field tests demonstrate performance and reliability.
