It integrates the digital cinema components with the booth and auditorium equipment to provide automatic control of preshow, feature and intermission functions. The system is modular to specifically suite the needs of the theatre complex and expandable for flexibility into the future. It features digital I/O, Ethernet and RS-232 connectivity. The system is fully programmable using common cinema industry terminology utilizing high level instructions. An embedded web server provides a user-friendly browser interface for set up, control and monitoring of key theatre functions. The ecna-5 interfaces to client components via RS-232, Ethernet and digital I/O. Serial communication channels are available at any of three physical serial interfaces. This allows simultaneous connectivity for multiple clients to exchange real time status and control data in order to automate the presentation. The ecna-5 is available in rack mount, wall mount or panel mount packages to accomodate a variety of installation requirements.

2 Integrated Web Services The ecna-5 embedded web server provides for complete programming, control, and application debugging via any computer s web browser. The browser interface makes it easy to backup and restore configuration data. You can also monitor system status of a single screen or the entire complex from your PC. Serial I/O The ecna-5 can communicate with multiple clients and servers in single or dual projector configurations providing automatic control between all cinema equipment peripherials in coordinating pre-show advertising, main attraction and intermission events. Outputs can be assigned to specific functions and operated by the ecna-5 control logic or directly by the client. The relays are suited for a variety of loads. Inputs can be set up to trigger user programmable events. Inputs can be configured to sense a remote AC or DC voltage or contact closure from other devices. GPIO can be used to interface and operate new and legacy equipment such as masking motors, light dimmers and doors magnets. The ecna-5 provides TCP Ethernet connectivity to all popular screen management systems, digital cinema projectors and sound processors. This eliminates much of the costly and tedious wiring required to control this equipment and provides a greater amount of flexibility. Device configuration files for supported cinema equipment can easily be loaded into the ecna-5. Devices and control messages can also be customized by the end user to communicate with other cinema products.

6 Expansion I/O Board Digital Input/Output Power Requirements (Maximum) 11.5 Watts: 24V 480mA, 18V 640mA ecna-5 digital I/O points can be expanded with an additional termination board. The board is an LIN device and recieves serial control commands and power from the ecna-5 main control board. The board should be mounted in a separate enclosure or in the project pedestal.
