It integrates one internal step-up PWM D-D converter to drive up to 8 separate strings of multiple series-connected LEDs. Users can provide versatile configurations of the iw7019 through the SPI interface registers. The iw7019 can maintain very high efficiency by compensating for LED forward voltage mismatch using iwatt s proprietary digital power management and patented BroadLED TM adaptive switch mode LED current regulation technologies. With the flexible PWM dimming control, the iw7019 improves the picture quality of TVs, by reducing motion blur and waterfall noise. The high resolution of 12-bit local dimming increases the contrast ratio. The iw7019 has multiple features to protect the LED channels from fault conditions.
