3 PC Perspective With OCZ now backed by Toshiba, and armed with their flash memory, OCZ is able to solidify their future as well as introduce models at an even lower cost/gb. The Vertex 460 performed well in our testing and is launching at a very competitive cost, and that's exactly what is needed to gain back the trust of the community as well as the market share they once enjoyed. Gold Awarded for OCZ's pursuit of lower cost/gb. With performance possibilities of SATA 6Gb/sec have been mostly capped out, it's good to see performance maintained on these smaller flash processes (and therefore lower costs). 3
4 Storage Review a no-nonsense, valueminded SSD that doesn't skimp on efficiency or high performance. Higher performance at a lower overall production cost, a win for everyone involved, including the consumer. A great indicator of the positive course being charted in OCZ's new future with Toshiba, accomplishing what it sets out to do: provide a valueminded, highperformance SSD for the mainstream consumer. 4

6 Legit Reviews On the subject of performance, we were duly impressed again with the performance of this Barefoot 3 M10 controlled drive just like we were with the Vertex 450. There are some definite improvements. Incompressible data did little to slow it down so steady, even performance is the name of the game which is something OCZ points out specifically with a higher level of sustained performance than that of its peers. It mostly mirrors the performance of the more expensive Vector drive. 6
7 Tweak Town In this price range, this is the drive I would buy today. The Vertex 460 costs less and includes more than the 840 EVO, and the performance is higher in most use cases. I was a bit surprised to see Vertex 460 compare very well to OCZ's flagship Vector 150 SSD, but after looking back at 840 EVO to 840 Pro, I see why OCZ needed to bring the second tier performance up so high. Consumers are the winner because you can purchase a MLC SSD with close to flagship performance for a lot less than flagship prices. 7
8 SSD Review One thing is for certain though and that is the fact that both the Vector 150 and the Vertex 460 are probably two of the toughest nonenterprise SSDs we have tested to date. All in all, OCZ has put together another great SSD. We believe the Vertex 460 is very deserving of our Top Value Award, not taking away the fact that it is an upper tier SSD that we still consider to be a workhorse. 8
9 Hot Hardware A solid offering that should serve users well at a competitive price point. The new OCZ Vertex 460 did offer consistently strong performance throughout our testing. Large sequential transfers and small file transfers at high queue depths were the Vertex 460 s strengths. 9
10 Think Computers This drive takes what was already good in the Vertex 450 drive and makes it better, especially when it comes to mixed workload and sustained performance numbers. If you are looking at getting a solid state drive right now the Vertex 460 is a great choice and one drive we can definitely recommend. 10

12 Guru 3D The Vertex 460 is no slouch that's for sure, the performance is simply good, the price we think will be competitive as well. The Vertex 460 is truly excellent, it excels in sequential read/write performance, IOPS performance is through the roof. It is a product you'll like and love for a long time. 12
13 Hardware Heaven It is priced competitively and continuously sat at the higher end of the performance scale. It was also great to see the drive deal with larger, sustained file copy tasks and HD video just as well as small operations. A very good all round drive which offers a boost in performance for those on older generation drives while competing at the high end of the market for desktop and mobile users. 13
14 Hardware.info High-end performance at a mid-range price. That's the best way to sum up the new OCZ Vector 460 SSD. It's only a couple percent slower than the OCZ Vector 150, on average the fastest SATA600 SSD currently around. If the recommended price is correct, it's also significantly cheaper. If you tend to put your storage under heavier loads but don't want to buy the most expensive SSD on the market, the OCZ Vertex 460 is excellent option. 14
15 OCAholic Compared to the competition, the Vertex 460 is not the cheapest SSD around, but it certainly comes with an attractive price point. The Vertex 460 offers really good performance at a decent price point. Should you be looking for a quick drive for a fair price, then the Vertex GB is certainly a good choice. We can expect a fierce battle on the SSD market in 2014 as well as the following years. 15
16 Nordic Hardware Compared to the Vertex 450 the performance has increased on average by 300 percent and rarely goes below 10,000 IOPS, which is very impressive. The Vertex 460 has borrowed a lot of fine attributes from OCZ's current flagship Vector
17 Hardware.no With this SSD OCZ does everything right. It this rarely as easy as this for us to say run and buy. Both read and write speeds exceeded the values that OCZ promised us, and compared with Samsung s 840 Pro, it made a very strong impression, sometimes with even outperforming it. 17
18 Club IC The new SSD OCZ shows performance figures which are very close to three high-end SSDs (Vector, Vector 150 and Samsung Pro 840), even though our test version is a 120 GB model. OCZ therefore back in the race with a performance SSD, offered at a good price. 18
19 Hispazone The evolution of one of the best SSDs of 2013 SSD comes with enhanced quality and durability offering better long-term results. One of the most important tests to show the sustained performance is a long term IOmeter test in which the Vertex 460 set an impressive performance. The Vertex 460 combines most of the advantages of the Vector 150 with a very attractive price. Sustained IO Performance 12-hour test period 19
20 Cowcotland (Preview) When reading files the curve is relatively stable, access time is excellent, ms. In writing, Vertex is always excellent, the proof is with an average high of 376 MB / sec, for a maximum of 381 MB / sec and a minimum of 369 MB / sec. The access time is again excellent, ms. 20
21 3D News The Vertex Model 460, which is an updated version presented in the middle of last year, Vertex 450, differs from it both in performance and in line volumes. The Vertex 460 represents a quite productive SSD, surpassing many popular models. Its value promises to be of a very reasonable level. In other words, the sum of the characteristics of Vertex 460 looks very attractive. If you do not chase the highest performance, and want to find the optimal solution, be sure to include the Vertex 460 on your list of possible options. 22 The Lab (Greece) The new Vertex 460, like its predecessor, is a very fast and reliable drive and which clearly shows the maturity of the Barefoot 3 controller. Its sustained performance is very similar to the Vector 150 and far above the competition. As a company under the Toshiba brand, OCZ now has full access to NAND flash and should become a serious competitor against Samsung and Crucial. The Vertex 460 is an impressive example in terms of combining know-how with a competitive price. 22
23 Hardwareluxx (Germany) The Vertex 460 showed a very high performance in our daily usage and heavy load tests. Additionally it s sustained performance is also very high compared to other drives, even without TRIM enabled. 23
24 Dinside (Norway) OCZ is in full swing with new products. The Vertex 460 offers excellent performance. The most important thing is that the performance is also sustained over time, This is a significant development compared to the first generations SSDs which showed variable and lower speeds in a short amount time. 24
