4 Configuration switches in the reading head (Base types) 1 Configuration switches in the reading head (Base types) 1.1 General The configuration of the reading head can be changed by two DIL switches which are located inside the reading head - and S2. S2 Figure 1.1: Positions of the configuration switches and S2 To change the switches the housing of the reading head must be opened. Screw up the four screws for the housing. 10 Configuration switch on the integrated display module 3 Configuration switch on the integrated display module (Reading head with option -D) 3.1 General The WCS3B reading head can be equipped (also later on, at factory) with an optional display module. This display shows during movement of the reading head the current position value and, if it happens, an error code. If the reading head does not move for longer than 15 seconds, then the display will show additional diagnostics data (see also WCS catalogue). For viewing the displayed values also in upright mounted position of the reading head, the orientation of the displayed values can be rotated around 180 by the DIP switch D on the display circuit board.
