1 The Chorus modular range allows you to create a wide variety of functions, thanks to the modular structure of the numerous products offered. In addition to the traditional electromechanical devices (commands, sockets, protection etc.), there are also electronic devices for the command and control of sevices, such as regulators, timers and dimmers. Furthermore, a wide selection of products has been developed for special services and wireless systems. The Chorus range for domestic use has a modular structure on flush-mounting frames up to 12 modules. Surface-mounting and table boxes and plates are included, as well as IP55 watertight plates, IP40 and IP55 outdoor containers. 2 CHARACTERISTICS OF SUPPORTS The frames are made of polycarbonate - a material that guarantees excellent rigidity, robustness and duration over time, making this product non-deformable and ensuring high performance levels. Unlosable screws with cross or slotted head The holes on the frames guarantee notable installation flexibility, making it possible to fix them directly onto surfaces where the use of a box is not practicable, for example panels, profiles, etc. FRONT RELEASE OF COMPONENTS The innovative coupling method of the components allows you to insert/extract the components of the range from the front, facilitating the assembly and wiring operations even after the frame has been fixed on the box. The component is removed from the frame by means of a screwdriver. HALF-MODULE MODULAR STRUCTURE The introduction of half-module components allows for a wide installation versatility, offering new application solutions. For example, in the three-module frame it is possible to insert two-module components in the central position (e.g. an Italian/German Standard socket). In order to facilitate the installation, the seats of the housing/module are highlighted in stamping on the support /2 module 1 module 2 modules 3 modules INTERNATIONAL SUPPORT FOR ITALIAN PLATES The support is specially designed to apply Italian Standard 2 module plates on International Standard round or square boxes. The frame is tightened on the fixing columns on the boxes. Particularly suitable also in the renovation of old buildings, renewing the installations with the design of the Italian Standard 2 module plate. 23

8 CALL RELAY "BATHROOM ALARM" CALL SYSTEM The Ministerial Decree 236/89 (G.U. 23/June/1989, no.145) establishes the technical regulations for the creation of hygienic services for people with a disability. In order to avoid architectural barriers, the layout of the sanitary fixtures must not prevent or obstruct the manoeuvres of a wheelchair during the use of the room. From the electrical point of view, in particular there must be an emergency bell located near the toilet and the bath. The alarm circuit must be activated by means of a pull-cord push-button (emergency bell) which, if pressed again, does not silence the alarm. The return to a condition of normality can only be obtained by pressing a remote push-button connected to the reset input of the relay. In order to avoid the unintentional resetting of the alarm, the use of the key push-buttons (e.g. code GW , GW and GW ) is recommended. Apart from the inputs for the "AL" alarm push-button and the "R" reset push-button, the GEWISS call relay, powered at 12V ac/dc, includes an NO + NC output contact with potential at 12V for managing the light/acoustic signalling. 9 ELECTRONIC RELAY FOR HEAVY DUTY LOADS Bistable relay suitable for commanding heavy-duty loads such as the batteries of fluorescent or discharge lamps, or fixed services with a high draw level, such as air-conditioners, ovens and boilers. Particularly suitable for commanding loads that involve a frequent alternation of activations and deactivations (lighting in through-areas, commanded by infrared sensors, water and air extraction pumps, etc.). As it is especially quiet, it is also suitable for installation near bedrooms and studies. In the event of a blackout, the relay memorises the service status, in order to restore the same condition when the mains voltage returns. 12 INTERLOCKED SWITCHED SOCKET-OUTLETS Many danger situations in the domestic environment are caused by faults or insulation leaks in the service devices (especially the portable ones), occurring when the appliance is fed. GEWISS has created interlocked switched socket-outlets with a bipolar switch (both miniature circuit breaker and residual current circuit breaker with overcurrent protection), suitable for installation in the system terminating for load protection. These sockets guarantee that the pits are connected to the voltage only when the plug is inserted, to prevent the forming of electrical arcs when the plug is inserted and removed. The automatic circuit breaker is immediately disconnected when the plug is pulled out. 15 TV-SAT SOCKETS SIGNAL TAKE-OFF The development of television transmission systems and of services intended for the user has raised the performance and quality level required for signal distribution systems. The new EN Standards (systems for distribution of television and sound signals via cable) define the present and future European standard and establish the requirements that the various parts of the system, including the terminal sockets, must meet. Thanks to their high performance level, these sockets offer optimal distribution of the signals, both digital and analogic, as required by the various drivers for access to present and future services. CHARACTERISTICS Efficient shielding (in compliance with Standard CEI - EN Class A). Impedance adaptation. System for the quick and safe connection of the coaxial cable. A range featuring two types: user ports with F connector (type EN ) and with IEC male Ø 9.5mm connector (in compliance with HD S2). ADVANTAGES The sockets, which are in a metal shell, are unaffected by the electromagnetic emissions (EMC) present in the environment. Undesired signal reflections are avoided. Maintains the co-axiality of the cable in the connection point. Maximum application flexibility with single or centralized systems (new / restored / arrangements for future extensions). In satellite reception, due to the frequency range, it is very important to maintain the co-axiality of the connection, which is a requirement fully met by the innovative connection and the use of the F connector. Series connection Telephone pair Parallel connection Telephone pair Plug Terminals 3 and 4 are connected by means of the contact inside the telephone, which is closed when the receiver is down. When the telephone receiver is picked up, the line breaks downstream (L1 pole), ensuring that the conversation is not overheard. Note: with the connection in series, when one of the plugs is extracted, the sockets positioned downline are disconnected. To prevent this problem, just insert a plug with a jumper between the terminals 3-4, in the socket from which the telephone appliance was removed. Each socket takes the signal from the line. There is no conversation secrecy. 37

18 AUTOMATIC CIRCUIT BREAKERS PROTECTION The automatic circuit breakers protect the electrical load connected downline (either directly or via a plug socket) against overloading and shortcircuiting and, via the residual current circuit breaker part, against contact voltages. They can be installed together with the miniature circuit breakers and the residual current circuit breakers with overcurrent protection use, in the enclosure of the home, to diversify the different lines while respecting the selectivity. They are particularly suitable in locations where there is a high risk of electrocution, such as the bathroom, to protect terminal devices, as well as a safety for portable service devices in the home and the like, etc. Miniature circuit breaker trip with C characteristics and A-type residual current circuit breaker for alternated fault currents and single-direction push-buttons. 19 OVERVOLTAGE LIMITING DEVICE The overvoltage limiter is a discharger of the varistor type, suitable for protecting the power supply sockets of all types of electrical appliances (especially those containing electronic components, e.g. TV, DVD player, Hi-fi, etc.) from damage that can arise from the presence of overvoltages induced in the mains by manoeuvres or atmospheric discharges. The overvoltage peak will not reach the service, or will at least be greatly attenuated. If the varistor should break, the presence of a fuse prevents short-circuiting. The failure is signalled by the switching off of the LED and the lack of power supply. 27 INTRODUCTION SOFT-TOUCH The Soft-Touch command devices are an innovative range of modular devices for the electrical system: a line of high technological and design content that gives the electrical system a touch of furnishing and style. The most highly distinctive design-based aspect of the Soft-Touch products is the wall-level feature. The main characteristic of the technology lies in the cap-sensitive system for command acquisition: a light touch (or slight brushing) of the device produces a change of status of the output command (switch-on, switch-off or adjustment). The range consists of a one-way switch and a dimmer, that can be commanded both locally and from a distance, using the repeater (GW 1X 903) or generic N.O. push-buttons. ONE-WAY SWITCH The quick and/or prolonged touch (or brushing) activates or switches off the load: this action can also be carried out from remote push-buttons and the Soft-Touch repeaters. In standby conditions, the front LED is switched on with a fixed amber light, and when the load is activated there is a fixed green light (the LED colour variation indicates that the command has been received). 28 DIMMER The quick touch (or brushing) produces switch-off or load command at the pre-set (memory) value. The prolonged touch (or brushing) produces load adjustment; this action can also be carried out from remote push-buttons and the Soft-Touch repeaters. The repeaters connected to the soft-touch products behave as N.O. push-buttons, with the distinctive feature of maintaining the technical and design characteristics of the system unaltered. The quick and/or prolonged touch (or brushing) produces the cyclical activation of the load (by means of a dimmer unit or Soft-Touch one-way switch). In standby conditions, the front LED is fixed amber; when it is touched, it switches off (the LED colour variation indicates that the command has been received). It is not possible to understand the load status from the repeater. 33 WATER DETECTOR WITH WIRELESS PROBE The water detector system consists of a flush-mounting detector and a surface-mounting probe, operating on a wireless basis at the frequency of 868 MHz. The water sensor reveals the presence of any type of liquid, operating by means of ultrasounds. This technology avoids the oxidation of the contacts due to humidity, and therefore the untimely intervention of the detector. Possibility to send a text message of alarm by means of the GSM repeater (GW ). The device allows you to:- reveal the presence of any type of liquid - activate the alarm via indicator lights and acoustic signals, and activate a solenoid valve - send an alarm directly to the user, via the repeater. The probe has a push-button which permits the association with the detector, the inhibition of the sensor, or the carrying out of the operational test, as well as a LED on the front to indicate the working status. The detector is equipped with three LEDs (power supply, operational test, sensor programming, alarm, signalling of faulty sensor and flat sensor battery), a buzzer (acoustic alarm signal) and a push-button (probe association). Each detector device can be associated with up to 5 water-presence detector probes in wireless mode. 34 GSM REMOTE CONTROL WITH I/O AND SERIAL LINE The GSM remote control with I/O allows you to command electrical loads, receiving or requesting status information relating to conventional devices on your mobile phone, via text messages. The device has 2 relay outputs with potential-free contacts, 2 inputs for voltage signals, and a serial line for connecting with programmers, flushmounting and surface-mounting timed thermostats, (relay and one-way RF). Via the GSM network (by means of text messages), it is possible: to send ON/OFF commands (timed or impulsive) to the device; receive status or alarm signals following a change of status of the inputs or on the configurable front; set or request the working mode of a timed thermostat or a programmer clock; request a temperature measurement and the set point value of a timed thermostat The device can be combined with interfaces that allow you to command (via text messages) devices belonging to the wireless command and control system or the wireless burglar alarm system. In addition, it is possible to combine an entryphone interface that allows you to answer entryphone calls or make implementations on the video entryphone system directly from your mobile phone. The module is equipped with a special housing to insert the backup batteries (3x AAA rechargeable) to power the device in the event of a mains voltage interruption.
