3 Simple operation Guide by Light The intuitive operating concept «Guide by Light» guarantees easy, convenient and quick operation of the terminal. The full glass front is equipped with a brilliant display and an illuminable, capacitive keypad for this innovative operating concept. In operation, only those keys can be seen dimmed that you require in accordance with the functional scope selected and thus licensed by you. All other keys are not visible. Guide by Light ensures that the keys or key blocks required for the operation sequence always light up brightly when they are actively waiting for the entry of an input or selection step. After the entry has been made, they can then only be seen dimmed. The operation is also supported by corresponding texts on the display. The RFID reader symbol also lights up when the reading of a RFID medium is required to identify the employee. This interaction between brightly illuminated and dimmed keys guides the employee intuitively through the operation; the daily entries become much easier and erroneous entries are minimized. If you require it in your company, you can select from different languages in the user guidance. 3 Example official absence booking Step 1 All 5 symbols are dimmed. 4 Simple installation fast and secure The B-web terminal is supplied with a docking station; it is the mounting element for the installation of the terminal on the wall. In the standard version, the B-web is equipped with PoE (Power over Ethernet) for the communication and the power supply. Connection takes place via the power supply cable. Simply click the terminal to the docking station and secure it - finished. We call that 1-click installation. If you configure a terminal in a different hardware design, for instance with the options access control and 230 V power supply, the docking station is supplied with a base board. It contains all the power supply components, as well as interfaces, contact inputs and outputs. After fixation on the wall, you can now pre-install the necessary cable connections quickly and simply. By clicking the terminal onto the docking station, the connection of the electronics is already done and the terminal is ready to be put into operation. This simple installation offers another benefit, i.e. the clean separation of the sub-tasks electrical installation and IT, which clearly specifies the tasks and responsibilities. 4 Docking station with PoE (Power over Ethernet) Mounting element for installation on the wall. 5 Simple functional expansion activation online With the new B-web generation, you determine the current functional scope of your terminals. Consequently, only the functions that you have currently selected, bought and thus licensed are visible on the keys of the glass front. If you require further functionalities at a later date, you simply extend the licenses in line with your individual requirements. Our experience means that we have already pre-configured the broad range of different recording functionality in attractive versions. The B-web 9300 is available to you accordingly in the versions as B-web 93 20, B-web and B-web The advantage is that you initially only acquire functions that you need at the time but can keep all your options open for the future. You can thus change from the version to the functionality of the B-web at any time by extending your existing license. Simply request the new license from Kaba and once you have received it, activate it in the terminal. The newly licensed function is then immediately activated and the corresponding keys are visible dimmed, even during ongoing operations. You need to configure the hardware of the B-web according to your requested functional scope. We recommend the version with the intuitive user guidance «Guide by Light» which will offer you a key benefit when using the terminal. 5 B-web adapts itself. You decide what you require and configure your terminal for your requirements via the license options.

6 Easy replacement high system availability The B-web is even prepared for the replacement of the 1 terminal due to a defect or a change in the hardware option. The collected data do not get lost since they are stored in the background as is, by the way, also the customer-specific configuration of the terminal. We recommend the use of the integration platform B-COMM Java. It offers the current analysis of the entire recording system, facilitates comfortable replacement and ensures high system availability. 2 B-COMM Java B-COMM Java analyzes, administers and 6 secures the configuration of all registered terminals. This is the basis for facilitating a replacement at any time. To this end, the secured configuration will be automatically sent to the replacement terminal and the latter activated. It now responds like the replaced terminal and is automatically available in the recording system. This ensures that, for instance, options of the replaced terminal that have already been purchased are automatically activated in the new terminal. The transaction data such as master data are then requested by the application software for the terminal. 3 4 B-COMM Java The replacement of the terminal at the docking station is particularly easy. Release the protection device, take out the existing terminal and insert the new B-web with 1-Click. Now enter the serial number of the replaced terminal via the terminal keypad; the replacement terminal then configures itself automatically in the recording system. The initial start-up and a terminal replacement is very easy when using the integration platform B-COMM Java in combination with the B-web terminal. With B-COMM Java, you have a current analysis of the status of all connected terminals and a tool with which you can conveniently ensure the availability of the terminal.

7 Easy selection standards welcome We integrate all current RFID systems so that your company can continue to use its RFID standard. Whether it is Legic prime/advant, Mifare/classic/DESfire or HID prox/iclass, all of them can be integrated. This means that the new can be combined with the old very simply. In the event that you would like to use other identification media, this too is not a problem as they can be placed in a bottom-mounted housing. Easy integration into access control You can also use the B-web for access control. You have the option of connecting up to four access readers to the terminal and thus checking authorizations, or opening or monitoring doors. CardLink combines the online access control with the digital door components of a standalone access control to form an integrated security solution. Convenience, no forgotten badges, unique identification and no more misuse are only some of the advantages. As an option, you can order the B-web in any version with a fingerprint reader. In accordance with your staff numbers, the biometrics module (CBM) can be supplied with a capacity of 500, 3,000 or 5,000 persons. In combination with the B-COMM Java integration platform, we offer you the B-web with CBM biometrics recording as an identification and verification solution. B-COMM Java distributes all templates in the recording system to all connected terminals and manages them. All your employees can thus make uniform use of the benefits of biometrics at each site worldwide. All you need to do to be recognized is to place your finger on the reader. It is a personal badge that you have with you at all times. You cannot lose or forget it. Your finger as a sign of recognition - that is really simple.
