3 Billing transformers and accessories Q.3 Billing transformers and accessories This section describes the current transformers used in Low Voltage installations and a wide variety of accessories, for both QNA and CIRWATT. Some of the accessories include modems, for example, RTC (analogue) and type GSM, ideal for communications in points where there is no analogue line. Another accessory is the protection device for analogue modems DIN-RTC, universal optical readers for meters, converters, etc. Highlighting the software available. We have the following software: Powerwatt is a remote metering and management software for meters. Softwatt is a program that has been designed for electricity companies, energy merchants and users that have been authorised to program meters for energy billing purposes. PowerPLC is the management and control software of the meters with PLC communications. PowerStudio is a control software that is focused on energy efficiency for the management of products. Q.3 Definition The installation of meters to bill electrical energy requires the installation of current transformers that have been certified by the electricity company. CIR- CUTOR has a wide range of products that can meet the consumer's requirements in each type of installation with the TRMC transformers. This completes the installation of billing meters, in accordance with the market specifications. Likewise, there are various communication methods proposed to guarantee the total control of the remote meter, depending on the nature of each installation. Analogue and GSM modems are vital elements in remote metering processes. The availability of a dedicated telephone line will allow us to select the type of modem that will be installed. In the case of field metering activities, CIR- CUTOR has meters with an optical port to download the information. The use of the PC's software is vital to download and treat the information stored in the meter's memory. CIRCU- TOR offers different types of software for each application, in order to cater for the customer's needs, from programming to data treatment software. The software range also includes the management of our QNA power quality analyzers, with a powerful application used to control the information, allowing the download of the memory to carry out studies about the behaviour of the grid in each installation. 4 Q.3 Billing transformers and accessories Applications Data is downloaded and treated by the meters of the CIRWATT series with various options, depending on the typology of each installation. There is an exclusive telephone line that requires the installation of analogue modems to read the meters. However, if their location means that the installation of a fixed analogue line is improbable, a GSM modem must be connected, with greater accessibility options, since it does not need an additional installation to carry out its functions. CIRCUTOR offers specialised software, such as the SoftWatt range, focused on the operations of electricity companies and energy distribution companies, to program and meter all electrical energy parameters. Watt Pro includes the simulation of bills of the current electricity market, in order to carry out adjusted studies about the cost of electricity bills. Our range of analyzers of the QNA-400 series enables many different grid configurations: RS-232 / RS-485 / Ethernet and GSM-GPRS. PowerVision has been designed to meter the parameters that define the quality of the grid in an installation, while acting as grid analyzers, and it is capable of creating graphs and lists with any electrical parameter required to make a complete study of the grid's behaviour in any industrial environment. The PowerWatt series is offered to end users to read and download data, with the purpose of controlling the consumption and installation. In addition Power- Q3-4

Resin is used as an exterior insulation element to provide a set of characteristics that increase the quality of the transformer when compared to other conventional insulation systems. The device is able to be configured local or remotely. With GPRS communication through a fix IP address and coverage signal by internal LED s. Application The device is connected with the meters by a GSM phone call or via GPRS. With two communication channels: RS-232 and RS-485 that receives calls to control and data download from the meter. The pulse values are stored in different records. It stores hourly values with the information received, storing up to 30 days of records. PowerWatt Pro and PowerWatt LT SQL have been designed for remote metering applications and the management of energy meters, enabling a permanent control of their consumption. They are easy to use and the interface is oriented to any type of user. It is configured with the definition of an annual calendar, allocating a profile of billing periods for each type of day. The calendar programming approach is flexible and can be configured by the user. The program includes various pre-configured calendars. The results can be displayed on lists or graphs with the curve of periods or receipts. Q3-19

The simulation can be printed or sent via . Simulations can be executed automatically or manually. Description Type Code Programming CIRWATT meters SoftWatt Q30411 Minimum requirements Application SoftWatt is used to configure CIRWATT meters and it has been structured with files that can be used to program various meters with the same configuration. The program is structured in various parts, where different parameters will be programmed, with an hourly discrimination, communication parameters, recording period of the load curve, configuration of inputs and outputs, etc. The configuration can be sent partially for each parameter. There are 3 types of calendars: Seasonal calendar: Two types of seasons are defined: Winter and Summer. The change of season takes place with the hourly adjustment Peak/Off-peak calendar: This calendar works with the peak and off-peak seasons and each will select the hourly profile for working days and weekends. There are up to 12 seasons and 10 hourly profiles Flexible: There is a fully flexible season and profile configuration Q3-21

22 Q.3 Billing transformers and accessories SoftWatt Software used to program CIRWATT Billing / Contracts The festivities and special days are selected in the annual calendar, since they have a different profile than working days. (For its application during the current year or coming years). All profiles can be easily and intuitively configured. The billing closing configuration involves the selection of a date and hour for each month, where the unit can carry out the automatic closing activities. If this option is selected, the unit does not carry out the closing operations. Sending / Receiving the Configuration Indication of the metering point, link address and access key, in order to receive the meter's configuration. We can select the configuration elements that will be sent, with no need to send the whole configuration. (The metering point, link address and write access key must be indicated before). The configuration will be sent / received locally or remotely. Safety The program can configure various users with passwords to access different levels of the program. Two levels of protection: Programming that only needs the write key and programming that needs the write key and removing the meter's seal (programming with a transformation ratio, for example). CIRWATT analyses the evolution of the consumption and disconnects the loads, in order to make sure that the contracted power is not exceeded, or it connects them to optimise the system. When all loads are disconnected and there is a risk of exceeding the contracted power, an alarm is activated, which informs the subscriber of this situation. This is the ideal option for the optimisation of contracted power. Q3-24

25 Billing transformers and accessories Q.3 PowerPLC Software for the communications of PLC-800 Description References PowerPLC is a tool that allows you to simultaneously communicate with multiple PLC- 800 concentrators, either via Ethernet or modem. This software has been designed for an easy and intuitive use, so that it does not need the user to have extensive knowledge about communications or PLC systems. All of the data downloaded from the concentrator, along with the different configurations of each of the meters (time differentiation, power control, etc.), is stored in an SQL database, which can easily be queried using any other tool the energy company has available. The automatic download of information allows the user to choose which files will be downloaded and when they will be downloaded. Therefore, it is not necessary to waste time connecting to one or more units, since the program is responsible for downloading the information automatically from the units selected by the user. Graphs PowerVision can be used to obtain the highest performance of the information, with graphs and lists of more than 200 variables, exports to text files (.txt) for their subsequent treatment from other applications, and even the direct application of quality standards, in order to determine whether the voltage supplied complies with the current regulations or not. Description examples It is necessary to have a centralised data gathering system as a result of the large volume of data provided by the metering station. PowerStudio SCADA has been designed to act as a centralising and information management unit. In addition, it can be used by any user to create their own customised screens. The objective of this software is to process data and prepare reports, with the purpose of adopting the adequate corrective or preventive measures during the installation. This is why CIRCUTOR has developed the Power- Studio Scada integral energy management software. All in all, this software enables the integration of CIRCUTOR's equipment for its management, such as the CVM grid analyzers, CIRWATT energy meters, protection devices and more. In addition, all of this equipment can be integrated in any other SCADA system marketed, since the protocols used are standard and they comply with the communications regulations in each case (Modbus/ RTU, Modbus/TCP, Profibus DP, Johnson Controls or XML). Performance Remote establishing of the units' parameters: It enables the on-line establishing of parameters of all units connected, thus facilitating the configuration of all units from the control unit. The following can be programmed with the PowerStudio SCADA: coming from each CIRCUTOR unit. Display of logs on tables or graphs: PowerStudio SCADA records all of the parameters mentioned above to generate graphs and tables with the different electrical parameters, grouped in accordance with the customer's needs (day, week or month). Voltage and current transformation ratios. Digital inputs and outputs and analogue outputs. Display of parameters in real time: It displays the parameters of all units in real time, knowing the installation's behaviour and status of the electrical distribution lines of the installation at all times. Said communications are possible, since PowerStudio SCADA is in constant communication with the units (pulling). This information is used to display the evolution of any electrical or process parameter in time, also displaying the increase of totalized variables in time (energy). The user can print any graph or table generated by the software. Alarm module: The previous programming tasks are used by the user to display any incident in the installation in real time. Data can be displayed in digital (number) or analogue (bars) format, indicating the colours (red, orange, green) of the variables that are outside the limits. Record log: Alarms can be associated easily to any parameter available in the PowerStudio SCADA, such as electrical or process parameters, with the purpose of guaranteeing the excellent efficiency of the installation's preventive maintenance tasks. The record log is drawn up as follows: The user must not configure any other option than the storage period to start the recording process, since when the devices are added to the software, PowerStudio SCADA automatically starts recording all electrical parameters Multi-position Software (Integrated Web Server) The internal software web server can be used by any user connected to the corporate network (LAN) or any Internet connection (if the Q3-30

Additional information DYNAMIC EXCHANGE OF DATA PowerStudio Scada, is not only an excellent energy manager, but it also has a series of data exchange functions implemented, facilitating the quick and comfortable integration of the system with other market applications. To carry out the DDE integration tasks, PowerStudio Scada and the generic control application must be installed on the same platform (PC), with a local integration of all parameters requested. XML Integration DDE Integration In many cases, there are clients that not only need to know the CVM grid analyzer, CIR- WATT or protection equipment data, but also need to centralise the air-conditioning or other parameters from the equipment of different manufacturers. The handicap for integrators is the development of different communication drivers for all units connected. To this end, PowerStudio Scada uses a DDE server for the integration of the different units manufactured by CIRCUTOR, acting as a real time integration agent, for the different electrical or process parameters. The objective of the integration of DDE is to facilitate the integrator the indirect communication with units through PowerStudio Scada, with the purpose of assuring a quicker and simpler integration, thus ensuring that the integrator will not have to develop the communication driver for all metering peripherals. At times, integrators have various external applications that need the to read the data from the same peripheral device remotely. This is a big problem, since the units with RS-485 communications can only be queried by a single master. When there is more than one, there are collisions in the communications and no application receives the information correctly. The XML communications protocol solves this problem: the only requirement is that the IP address of the slave application or data server can be accessed. With this format, we can request any electrical or physical parameter of the PowerStudio Scada system in real time, integrating many different electrical or physical parameters in one or various PowerStudio Scada systems installed in the same network, even on accessible external grids (decentralised energy control systems).
