3 Billing transformers and accessories This section describes the current transformers used in Low Voltage installations and a wide variety of accessories, for both QNA and CIRWATT. Some of the accessories include modems, for example, RTC (analogue) and type GSM, ideal for communications in points where there is no analogue line. Another accessory is the universal optical readers for meters, converters, etc. Highlighting the software available. We have the following software: Powerwatt is a remote metering and management software for meters. Softwatt is a program that has been designed for electricity companies, energy merchants and users that have been authorised to program meters for energy billing purposes. PowerPLC is the management and control software of the meters with PLC communications. PowerStudio is a control software that is focused on energy efficiency for the management of products. Q.3 Definition The installation of meters to bill electrical energy requires the installation of current transformers that have been certified by the electricity company. CIR- CUTOR has a wide range of products that can meet the consumer's requirements in each type of installation with the TRMC transformers. This completes the installation of billing meters, in accordance with the market specifications. Likewise, there are various communication methods proposed to guarantee the total control of the remote meter, depending on the nature of each installation. Analogue and GSM modems are vital elements in remote metering processes. The availability of a dedicated telephone line will allow us to select the type of modem that will be installed. In the case of field metering activities, CIR- CUTOR has meters with an optical port to download the information. The use of the PC's software is vital to download and treat the information stored in the meter's memory. CIRCU- TOR offers different types of software for each application, in order to cater for the customer's needs, from programming to data treatment software. The software range also includes the management of our QNA power quality analyzers, with a powerful application used to control the information, allowing the download of the memory to carry out studies about the behaviour of the grid in each installation. 4 Applications Data is downloaded and treated by the meters of the CIRWATT series with various options, depending on the typology of each installation. There is an exclusive telephone line that requires the installation of analogue modems to read the meters. However, if their location means that the installation of a fixed analogue line is improbable, a GSM modem must be connected, with greater accessibility options, since it does not need an additional installation to carry out its functions. CIRCUTOR offers specialised software, such as the SoftWatt range, focused on the operations of electricity companies and energy distribution companies, to program and meter all electrical energy parameters. Watt Pro includes the simulation of bills of the current electricity market, in order to carry out adjusted studies about the cost of electricity bills. Our range of analyzers of the QNA-400 series enables many different grid configurations: RS-232 / RS-485 / Ethernet and GSM-GPRS. PowerVision has been designed to meter the parameters that define the quality of the grid in an installation, while acting as grid analyzers, and it is capable of creating graphs and lists with any electrical parameter required to make a complete study of the grid's behaviour in any industrial environment. Resin is used as an exterior insulation element to provide a set of characteristics that increase the quality of the transformer when compared to other conventional insulation systems. 14 LM6I2O PLC Concentrator of 4 impulse inputs with PLC communications Description The LM6I2O is a device able to be connected to a PLC communication network, it takes the readings from any device that emits impulses such as water, gas or heat meter. Features It has six inputs that are isolated from the main supply. The impulses account of each one are sent by PLC communications to the concentrator PLC 800. Optionally, it can store an hourly load profile from each input. That profile can be downloaded in order to give all the information to create a billing system. After that, the input value will be put to 0. The capacity of these inputs is up to 10 impulses for a second. They are easy to use and the interface is oriented to any type of user. Description Type Code Programming CIRWATT meters SoftWatt Q30411 Minimum requirements Application SoftWatt is used to configure CIRWATT meters and it has been structured with files that can be used to program various meters with the same configuration. The program is structured in various parts, where different parameters will be programmed, with an hourly discrimination, communication parameters, recording period of the load curve, configuration of inputs and outputs, etc. The configuration can be sent partially for each parameter. 20 SoftWatt Software used to program CIRWATT Billing / Contracts The festivities and special days are selected in the annual calendar, since they have a different profile than working days. (For its application during the current year or coming years). All profiles can be easily and intuitively configured. The billing closing configuration involves the selection of a date and hour for each month, where the unit can carry out the automatic closing activities. If this option is selected, the unit does not carry out the closing operations. Sending / Receiving the Configuration Indication of the metering point, link address and access key, in order to receive the meter's configuration. We can select the configuration elements that will be sent, with no need to send the whole configuration. (The metering point, link address and write access key must be indicated before). The configuration will be sent / received locally or remotely. Safety The program can configure various users with passwords to access different levels of the program. Two levels of protection: Programming that only needs the write key and programming that needs the write key and removing the meter's seal (programming with a transformation ratio, for example). 21 PowerPLC Software for the communications of PLC-800 Description References Power PLC is a software designed to configure and control the PLC (Power line communication) remote management system from CIRCUTOR. One of the main characteristics of this software is its friendly interface. User can easily interact with meters and concentrators PLC 800 either local or remotely. With this application the remote management system is simplified reducing the time to program the meters. Using Power PLC all the parameters can be set avoiding to go to the installations to do any modification. Instant values: Through Power PLC the user can read real time different values: Active energies, reactive energies, powers, voltage, current, power factor, relay status, meter status, etc. Events management: This option allows checking all the events registered by the meters which are connected to the PLC 800 concentrator. It is a high-performance tool that increases the power of the information recorded by the units. PowerVision can be used by expert and novice users to quickly and easily achieve the maximum performance of the information. All in all, it is a very simple, flexible and powerful tool. The automatic download of information allows the user to choose which files will be downloaded and when they will be downloaded. Therefore, it is not necessary to waste time connecting to one or more units, since the program is responsible for downloading the information automatically from the units selected by the user. Graphs PowerVision can be used to obtain the highest performance of the information, with graphs and lists of more than 200 variables, exports to text files (.txt) for their subsequent treatment from other applications, and even the direct application of quality standards, in order to determine whether the voltage supplied complies with the current regulations or not. Said control is important, since it can ensure that the preventive maintenance tasks will have an excellent efficiency, while controlling a large number of electrical parameters. Description examples It is necessary to have a centralised data gathering system as a result of the large volume of data provided by the metering station. PowerStudio SCADA has been designed to act as a centralising and information management unit. In addition, it can be used by any user to create their own customised screens. The objective of this software is to process data and prepare reports, with the purpose of adopting the adequate corrective or preventive measures during the installation. This is why CIRCUTOR has developed the Power- Studio Scada integral energy management software. All in all, this software enables the integration of CIRCUTOR's equipment for its management, such as the QNA network analyzers, CIRWATT energy meters, protection devices and more. In addition, all of this equipment can be integrated in any other SCADA system marketed, since the protocols used are standard and they comply with the communications regulations in each case (Modbus/ RTU, Modbus/TCP, Profibus DP, Johnson Controls or XML). To carry out the DDE integration tasks, PowerStudio Scada and the generic control application must be installed on the same platform (PC), with a local integration of all parameters requested. XML Integration DDE Integration In many cases, there are clients that not only need to know the CVM grid analyzer, CIR- WATT or protection equipment data, but also need to centralise the air-conditioning or other parameters from the equipment of different manufacturers. The handicap for integrators is the development of different communication drivers for all units connected. To this end, PowerStudio Scada uses a DDE server for the integration of the different units manufactured by CIRCUTOR, acting as a real time integration agent, for the different electrical or process parameters. This is a big problem, since the units with RS-485 communications can only be queried by a single master. When there is more than one, there are collisions in the communications and no application receives the information correctly. The XML communications protocol solves this problem: the only requirement is that the IP address of the slave application or data server can be accessed. With this format, we can request any electrical or physical parameter of the PowerStudio Scada system in real time, integrating many different electrical or physical parameters in one or various PowerStudio Scada systems installed in the same network, even on accessible external grids (decentralised energy control systems).
