2 1. APPLICATION The Deconto ITALY CUP system can be applied to the single Italy Cup machine for managing the operations in terms of supply payments and doses setting. The system is available in two versions of SW with PC for different types of users: 1. Deconto Advanced only for expert users, allows access to all settings available on the machine 2. Deconto Easy for non-expert users, does not allow access to doses settings available on the machine, allows credit management and all other functions of the machine. 2. GENERAL DESCRIPTION The system elements are: o CHIP CARD programmable compliant with ISO7810 standard, o CHIP CARD PROGRAMMER for chip card programming, o SOFTWARE Deconto (Rev xxr.exe) for the Personal Computer that allows the configuration and adjustment of the card to the device and/or the machine to control. o USB CABLE for connection between the PC and the CHIPCARD PROGRAMMER, o ITALY CUP ELECTRONIC CARD The electronic card of the Italy Cup machine is equipped with a series of inputs and outputs that allow connection and management of: Input o 6 function buttons: short/long espresso, white coffee, cappuccino, mocaccino and hot chocolate, o 1 red sensor with lack of water alarm function, o 1 flow meters, o 1 microswitch of capsule presence, Instructions_use_palm_Deconto_Italy_Cup_INGL.doc Page 2 of 17

3 o 1 microswitch of collection box, o 1 microswitch of front door presence, Output: o 2 solenoid valves: one for the coffee and the other for the soluble, o 1 pump, o 1 user interface display, o 2 motion-dispensers, o 1 mixer CHIP CARD It allows the exchange of information between the Personal Computer, through the CHIP CARD PROGRAMMER device, electronic card and viceversa. It also allows the management of the number and type of credit to load onto the machine CHIPCARD PROGRAMMER With the chipcard programmer connected to the PC on which the SW Deconto has been installed, it is possible to set up, on the chip card, the desired values for the doses setting and the supply cost DECONTO SOFTWARE With a PC, it allows setting up and configuring the electronic card using all its characteristics and functions. The transfer of the set-up data from the PC to the electronic card and viceversa is carried out through a configurable settings chip card. DECONTO XXR.EXE PROGRAM The executable program in Windows allows the set up of all the Italy Cup functions Program installation o Insert the CD-ROM and open the corresponding reading window Content: file Deconto xxx.exe (program) and Setup xxx.dat o Copy the program Deconto xxx.exe onto the desktop o Copy the file Setup xx.dat in the Windows folder (WIN98, WIN ME systems) or WNNT (WIN NT, 2000, XP systems) of the local disk drive (C) o Open the program Deconto xxx.exe by double clicking the desktop icon Note: Access to the program may be blocked by using a program password (see paragraph 3.9.6) Instructions_use_palm_Deconto_Italy_Cup_INGL.doc Page 4 of 17

6 System code It is set up by the manufacturer of the machine electronic card and cannot be modified. All the programmed chip cards have the code (99999) and can be read only by Deconto electronic cards and/or SW to PC with the same system code set by the manufacturer Customer code It is a numeric code that can be assigned to each machine. This code allows encoding all or part of the machine to limit its use, as it will be possible to manage the operations simply by introducing the chip card in the machine with the same customer code. Originally, the CUSTOMER CODE is set up with value "0 and therefore, all chip cards with CUSTOMER CODE = 0 are accepted. To set up a customer code, you must write and enter in the electronic card a SETTINGS CHIP CARD with the appropriate customer code, after having reset the factory customer code entering a "MASTERCARD type CHIPCARD No. of Total supply of Product For each supply, the electronic card updates its counters. The total supplies are transferred from the electronic card onto the reading CHIP CARD. The TOTAL SUPPLIES are not resettable and allow displaying of the current machine use with the SW Deconto Chip card type ONETIME Card Once inserted in the machine, all the Supply Values are transferred and stored by the electronic card installed, with appropriate display signalling. 7 MULTINS Card It is loaded with a value (for example 50), when the chip card is inserted in the electronic card of the machine, and every time the short espresso button is pressed, this value (50) is saved in the electronic card with the appropriate display message. If you remove the chip card from the machine, the Deconto value is always 50. Any Deconto values on the machine will be kept and added to the loads. Maximum MULTINS Transfer Value: This field is only active for the MULTINS card and allows the assignment of the transfer limit of the Deconto Value of this type of chip card. (for example, the maximum limit is 10, it is possible to transfer only 10 times the Deconto Value loaded on the chip card) CREDIT Card In this type of card, a Deconto Value is inserted that decreases with each payment. In this case, the chip card acts as a credit card and therefore no value is saved on the machine, so the card must be inserted into the machine at the moment of the supply request MASTER CARD It is used to cancel the CUSTOMER CODE and RESIDUAL MACHINE. To create this type of card, you must enter a personal PASSWORD that can be set up with the CONFIGURE function (see paragraph 16) of the Deconto xxx.exe program. The default password is 0 or 1. To reset the above-mentioned code, you must: o Create a Master Card of SW to PC with the same system code and CUSTOMER CODE of the machine. o Insert the card in the electronic card. o At this point, customer code, machine number and residual machine return to zero TEST Card It is used to carry out supplies without updating the SUPPLY VALUE or the No of TOTAL SUPPLY, if the electronic card on the machine has a CUSTOMER CODE other than zero, the test card must have the same CUSTOMER CODE to work Instructions_use_palm_Deconto_Italy_Cup_INGL.doc Page 7 of 17

8 properly. To create this type of card, you must enter a personal PASSWORD that can be set up with the CONFIGURE function of the Deconto xxx.exe program. The default password is 0 or SETTINGS Card It allows programming the cards with the parameters and the values set up in the PC software. To do this, you must create a SETTINGS WRITING Card, write the settings data, insert it into the machine when off, and then turn it on. The electronic card programming is confirmed by an appropriate display message. It is possible to read the settings, without modifying them, of an electronic card installed on a machine, by creating a SETTINGS READER chip card, inserting it into the machine and then reading it with the PC software. To create this type of card, you must enter a personal PASSWORD that can be set up with the CONFIGURE function of the Deconto xxx.exe program. The default password is 0 or 1. Note: Once the data is loaded onto the machine, it is advisable to turn off the machine, remove the card and then restart the machine TRANSFER Card It allows transferring the credits from one machine to another, resetting it on the first machine in which the chip card is inserted, to be able to transfer it onto the second machine. To create this type of card, you must select the transfer field (flag) AUTOTEST Card With the Autotest card, it is possible to control the electrical charges individually: o Button 1 : Pump o Button 2 : Coffee solenoid valve o Button 3 : Soluble solenoid valve o Button 4 : Hopper 1 o Button 5 : Hopper 2 o Button 6 : Mixer Instructions_use_palm_Deconto_Italy_Cup_INGL.doc Page 8 of 17

9 When pressing any key for the first time, the load is activated and remains active until a successive pressing and it is therefore possible that the loads can be activated together. Moreover, with the autotest chip card inserted, the buzzer sounds at each status change of the inputs (tank level sensor, front sensor, capsule insertion lid and collection box). When the chip card is removed, all the loads turn off and the machine returns to its basic functions Programming procedure Upon each programming, turn off the machine, insert the chip card as indicated, turn on the machine (data transfer with display signalling), turn off the machine and remove the card. At this point, resume normal machine operations Supply Value The value that is loaded on the ONETIME, MULTINS, and CREDITS card allows limiting the machine use. Such value is expressed with a stops number. When such a value on the electronic cards or in the CREDIT card is not enough, the supplies cannot be carried out. The maximum value allowed is Residual machine It is the Supply Value detected on the last machine in which the chip card that is being read has been inserted Input/output setting to modify the operation parameters Settings reading Selecting this type of paragraph does not change the setup values, in fact, they are only read and stored in the chip card. 10 Settings writing With this card, the setup values are modified. The new SETUP is stored by the electronic card only when the machine is turned on with the SETTINGS WRITING card inserted Temperature sensor This function is not active on the Italy Cup machine Lack of H 2 O contact It allows the management of the water shortage of the tank, and, in case of lack of water, the appropriate signal will appear on the display Pre-infusion It allows the management of the pre-infusion, only for short and long espressos, while the remaining three supplies with capsule can never be enabled Desired temperature This function is not active on the Italy Cup machine Overdosing It allows adding an additional dose to the first coffee after a long stand-by Product cycles setting The six products are divided into three categories: o Soluble o Coffee o Soluble + coffee These three parameters are selected according to the type of product, in order to optimise the doses delivered. 12 Soluble cycles Image 3 illustrates an example of soluble cycle setting. Select the product folder to be modified. Like the first phase, select the Soluble category, with this option it is not possible to stop the supply of the product, by pressing the keys on the push button panel. The Supply Value can be parameterised with a maximum limit of "3" and it is possible to assign a different value to each product. The Fan parameter, set to minutes with a maximum of 36 minutes, when modified in any product folder, it is automatically modified in the remaining five folders, the value assigned is in minutes. As you can see in Image 3, each Tx-ON box has another box inside, that allows you to decide to manage the pump at pulses (volumetric data counter) or at time (seconds); if you select this box, the pulses pump is controlled, but if you do not select it, pump at time is controlled. In case a pulse parameter is set and successively the field is deselected, the value will be divided by 10 and viceversa. The Tx-OFF parameters are set only at time (seconds). The solenoid valves are activated by checking the box marked Active. It is not possible to parameterize the Tx-OFF. 13 The two Hoppers and the Shaker can only be set at time and it is possible to parameterize both the Tx-ON and the Tx-OFF, with a tenth of a second definition Coffee cycle Image 4 : Coffee product card Image 4 illustrates an example of coffee cycle settings Select the product folder to be modified. Like the first phase, select the Coffee category, with this option, it is not possible to interrupt the supply, by pressing any keys on the push button panel. The Supply Value is set with a maximum limit of "3" and it is possible to assign a different value to each product. The Fan parameter is not activated with the Coffee setting. As you can see in Image 4, each Tx-ON box has another box inside that allows you to decide to manage the pump at pulses (volumetric data counter) or at time (seconds); if you select this box, it commands the pulse pump, but if you do not select it, it controls the pump at time. In the case in which a pulse parameter is set and successively the field is deselected, value will be divided by 10 and vice versa. The Tx-OFF parameters are set only at time (seconds). The solenoid valves are activated by checking the box marked Active. It is not possible to parameterize the Tx-OFF. 14 WARNING: even if you can do, NEVER set the parameters in the boxes related to the soluble (EV2, Hopper 1, Hopper 2 and Shaker) Soluble + Coffee cycle Image 5 : Soluble + Coffee product card Image 5 illustrates an example of Soluble + Coffee cycle settings. Select the product folder to be modified. Like the first phase, select the Soluble + Coffee category, with this option it is not possible to interrupt the supply, by pressing the keys on the push button panel. The Supply Value is parameterised with a maximum limit of "3" and it is possible to assign a different value to each product. The Fan parameter, when modified in a product folder, is automatically modified in the remaining five folders, the value assigned is in minutes. As can be observed in Image 5, each Tx-ON box has another box inside that allows you to decide to manage the pump at pulses (volumetric data counter) or at time (seconds); if you select this box, it commands the pulse pump, but if you do not select it, it controls the pump at time. In case an impulse parameter is set and successively the field is deselected, value will be divided by 10 and viceversa. The Tx-OFF parameters are set only at time (seconds). The 1/2 Hopper can only be set at time and it is possible to parameterize both times of the Tx-ON and the Tx-OFF, with a 1/10 of a second definition. The Shaker can only be set at time and it is possible to parameterize both the times of Tx-ON and of the Tx-OFF, with a 1/10 of a second definition Program control buttons Open file button It allows reading and selecting the files previously saved on the PC. The files are named according to the code assigned by SGL to the CHIPCARD SETTINGS Save file button It allows saving all settings/programming data in the PC. The name can be selected (for example: test1) and the file will be saved in the selected program or user folder Read card button It allows reading the data contained in the chip card. You cannot read a card if the customer code set on the CHIPCARD is unknown. The data can be modified only after pressing the EDIT command Edit button Note: before modifying any setting, it is advisable to have save a copy of the file to be modified on the PC. It allows the modification of all data on a chip card, except the Number of total supply of product It is possible to block the modification of the data by entering a configurable password with the CONFIGURE command. 16 Write card button It allows transferring the data from the PC to the Palmtop. A message displays if the writing has been completed correctly, as shown in Image 6. Image 6 : Correct writing notice Configure button It allows setting and/or modifying: o START UP PASSWORD: if the Deconto xxx.exe is entered, it opens only by entering this password. o EDIT PASSWORD: if introduced, it is possible to modify the chip card data read only by entering the password. o COMMUNICATION PORT: it allows setting the communication port (ex. COM1) o MASTER CARD CODE: if the right code is not entered, it is not possible to create a master card, default is always 0. o TEST CARD CODE: if the exact code is not entered, it is not possible to create a test card. o SETTINGS CARD CODE: if the right code is not entered, it is not possible to create a settings card Print button It allows printing the displayed screen, both on files and on paper Language button By pressing it, it is possible to change the language between Italian and English. 17 Exit button To close the program Description of reported errors and possible causes o INCOMPLETE SERIAL RESPONSE: The interface is incorrect, the serial connection cable is faulty or incorrectly inserted or the handheld keyboard is off. o CARD IS IN BLANK OR INSERTED UPSIDE DOWN: The card has been inserted upside down or is new. o FAULTY CARD: The chip card cannot be read. o NO CARD IS PRESENT: The chip card is not inserted, or is not properly inserted (chip turned downwards or the card is not fully inserted). o INVALID SYSTEM CODE: A System code of the chip card inserted is incorrect. o ERROR COUNTER EMPTY: The chip card has not been initialised by Sipe srl. o ERRORS IN DIFFERENT FIELDS: The program indicates, in the Chip card update request, if the values entered for some parameters are not allowed. o Error in the BCC or Syntax Error: the bcc stored in the chip card is not correct o STX or ETX not correct: the serial message received has no STX or ETX After the third invalid attempt, the chip card is permanently blocked.
