Identify the type of quad splitter being installed. If the quad splitter has an RJ-45 connector labeled RS232, you must build the cable. Refer to the wiring diagram on page 2. If the quad splitter has a DB9 connector labeled remote, use the DB9M-DB9F serial cable (PN ) provided in this kit. 2. Terminate the external interconnect module (EIM) at the end of the SensorNet network. See the diagram on page 2 or 3. For more information on the SensorNet network, refer to the SensorNet Network Guide (PN ). 3. Mount each EIM on a wall or other surface within 3m (10') of the TOUCH TRACKER controller. 4. Connect the power transformer and SensorNet cable to on each EIM. 5. Connect the data cable from on the main TOUCH TRACKER EIM to the correct port at the rear panel of the quad splitter. If you are using the cable with the RJ-45 connector, refer to the diagram on page 2. If you are using the DB9M- DB9F serial cable, refer to the diagram on page Connect the modular cable from on EIM to the TOUCH TRACKER controller. 7. Connect the SensorNet cable from the dome to the terminated EIM. 8. Plug each power transformer into a grounded, 3 wire receptacle. NOTE: If the TOUCH TRACKER keypad and backlighting do not illuminate when power is applied, unplug each power transformer and repeat steps 3 through From the TOUCH TRACKER controller, press Menu to configure the software for the quad splitter. 10. Press Next to toggle between using the TOUCH TRACKER controller as the primary (Main) unit for the SensorNet polling and alarm monitoring or as the secondary (Call) unit with limited user functionality. 17.
