4 GTI-PC Designed and manufactured by Bailoy in 1995, GTI PC was one of the first Windows based PC systems in the irrigation industry. Ever since its introduction, the hardware and software powering its comprehensive features have been regularly updated increasing its functionality further while also enhancing the user experience. GTI PC is available for sites that use either 2- or 3-core control cables. The Gemini system is used with 2-core control cable, the Trident system with 3-core. This makes it an ideal replacement for older controllers such as the SC3000, CDS-DIU or Watermation TW1 and TW2 and in most cases, can utilise the existing site control cables, decoders and solenoids. 5 Central Systems The GTI PC system consists of a single Central DOU (Decoder Output Unit) and can control up to 456 stations (436 on Gemini). Up to three additional Expansion DOUs can be added allowing up to 1824 stations. Each DOU is connected using a fibre-optic cable or Communication Booster which is connected to a central computer running the GTI-PC software. 6 System Expansion The GTI-PC system can be expanded by adding up to 3 additional DOU s (Decoder Output Units) to the existing Central DOU. This would allow the site to expand from 456 stations to 1824 stations (1744 on Gemini). 9 GTI-EC GTI EC controllers are economical irrigation control systems for smaller sites on a modest budget, yet retain many of the powerful features found in their GTI PC stablemate. Available in Pro and Lite editions, customers now have a choice with how they want to irrigate. Both editions are available for sites that use either 2- or 3 core control cables. The Gemini system is used with 2-core control cable, the Trident system with 3-core. This makes them an ideal replacement for older controllers such as the SC3000 or Watermation TW1 and TW2 and in most cases, can utilise the existing site control cables, decoders and solenoids. Forwards and backwards compatible with all equipment manufactured by Bailoy, means both GTI-EC options are fully upgradable. Hardware Overview The GTI EC uses a single DOU (Decoder Output Unit) with 4 control cable outputs (CSG s) available allowing control of up to 448 stations (436 on Gemini). The DOU is IP65 rated so can be installed in most environments allowing for simple retrofitting into existing controller locations. The DOU is connected to a dedicated touch screen tablet, running GTI-EC software. This can be installed up to 10 meters from the DOU using a fibre optic cable, or up to 1600 meters using a Communication Booster. PSI023 EX-DX-SA UK Page 8 of 38

10 GTI-EC Pro The GTI-EC Pro is designed to flow manage all your irrigation requirements. Irrigation programmes are scheduled by Hole/Area or station priority. The software then automatically irrigates in the quickest and most efficient order. Alternatively, the programme can be scheduled using the step sequence feature. This allows users to design up to 10 unique sequences to suit their irrigation needs. The GTI-EC-Pro has a comprehensive report and alert feature, providing a range of diagnostic data and alerts on programme and station issues. 16 DECODERS Since the early 1980s we have designed and manufactured decoders for irrigation systems. These have been installed in hundreds of sites over the last four decades, with many still used to this day. We are very proud that they are widely recognised for their reliability and unique enclosure design. We currently manufacture the Gemini decoder for use with 2-core control cables and the Trident decoder for use with 3-core control cables, with both types being available in multiway versions. 20 DTMF Interface A DTMF interface is used as part of a long-range radio remote controller for GTI-PC systems. It is designed to accept commands from radio handsets while away from the computer running the GTI-PC software. This allows the user to control the irrigation system from any site location in real time. DTMF Interface. 23 Installation Accessories Communication Boosters Communication Boosters are used to create a wired communication link between the central GTI computer and one or more remote DOUs. A low-cost 4 x 0.5mm2 cable (typically an outdoor telephone cable) is laid between the two locations and terminated with a Communication Booster both ends. Therefore, the Boosters are always ordered in pairs with a fibre-optic cable used to connect them to the computer or DOU.
