The e-smart Panel incorporates and intelligent I/O controller designed to operate in conjunction with a CLA-VAL series 138 Position Control Valve. The system provides a flexible and easy to commission solution for optimizing water quality and reservoir volumes. Easy read configurable LED displays of Level, Flow and valve position with Auto or Manual operation gives the user complete control under all operating conditions. A panel mounted comms. port provides access to the software, downloaded free of charge from the CLA-VAL website. The Graphical rules option allows customised Flow vs Level profiles to be drawn with the facility to add up to 100 data-points for precise control. 2 Modes of Operation Auto: The controller instructs the 138 series position control valve to track the profile autonomously without external control. Hand (Local or Remote): Disables the profile and transfers the operation of the 138 position control valve to either a local or remote Set-point value/position for flexibility under adverse operating conditions. Signal Failures: Configurable Level or Flow input failure default conditions can be programmed which sets the valve at a safe position until the signal is restored. Power Failure: Optional 24 VDC battery back-up provides sufficient energy to drive the valve to its default condition. 4 Typical Applications for the CLA-VAL SERIES Control Panel Flow vs level profil programming The flow vs level programming mode permits control to the reservoir with CLA-VAL CPC 138 regulating valve based on the level. The graphically entered FLOW vs LEVEL program setting is simple and easy to modify. It modulates the flow rate efficiently to help reduce leaks in the reservoir water distributing network. The rate of flow value can be provided by a CLA-VAL e-flowmeter, which may be retrofitted at any time to the upstream side of the CLA-VAL regulating valve. The e-flowmeter is screwed directly in the body inlet tapping and connected electrically to the Control Panel for transmitting its respective flow rate signal. Level Flow Q Time vs flow profil programming The time vs level programming mode permits control to the reservoir with CLA-VAL CPC 138 regulating valve based on the time. The graphically entered TIME vs FLOW program setting is simple and easy to modify. It modulates the flow rate efficiently to help reduce the time of pumping station in the reservoir water distributing network. The time vs flow programming can be combined with a profil level vs flow. Flow Q Time 24 h Autonomous powering Control Panel system The e-power IP provides electrical power for Control Panel system 12 V or 24 V. The autonomy of the system allows sites to be managed remotely. The use of data acquisition systems for the management of water systems is increasingly popular.
