2 The Centauri s 7 touch-screen provides ease-of-use Info Panel. Includes channel (A or B), sensor name, and serial number. Press the menu icon at the right to easily access more functionality. Sensor Settings. Displayed on screen and easily updated. Press on a parameter to open a window that displays all of the options. Press on the desired setting to reconfigure and get back to work. Settings are stored in the sensor s memory as the startup settings for the next measurement session. Measurements. Numeric and Graphical display of reading. Press Offset to reduce ambient environmental effects on the readings. Press Zoom to focus the bargraph around the present measurement. Connector Panel The Centauri can be configured for Single or Dual channel use. Analog Output per channel. Select 1V, 2V, 5V, or 10V for max output. Configure to match the calculated measurement or to track the raw input. Digital Output per channel. Useful for error signaling and for safety systems such as interlocking. External Trigger Input. For synchronizing the measurement process with an outside controller. Digital communication via RS232 or USB. USB Flush Drive for logging data and transferring it later to the PC. Future versions of the Centauri will support Ethernet and Wi-Fi communication as well.

3 Dual Channel use of the Centauri is just as easy Two channels of independent measurement. Each can be configured as necessary (power in one, energy in the other; one a bargraph and the other a line graph, etc). Pressing the Merge Control at the top of the screen superimposes both channels on one line graph for easy visual comparison. Pressing the Math Channel Control at the top of the display opens up a 3rd display. This can be set to A/B, A-B, A*B, A+B, B/A, or B-A. Pressing both Merge and Math gives you all 3 in one line graph. Press the Math Channel Control again to disable it. Press the Split Control to go back to independent split channel display.

4 The Centauri also provides additional graphic displays Large numeric display with a bargraph at the bottom of the screen, showing the present measurement as a fraction of the full scale. Line graph display of energy enables user to track the laser s performance over time Display statistics of the present measurement session. Measure power and track the position and size with a BeamTrack sensor.

5 Analog needle display of power. Optional persistence and min/max tracking Pulse chart display of energy enables the user to compare latest energy pulse with the most recent history of previous pulses. Pass/Fail screen shows when the laser measurement is outside of the predefined limits. Excellent for QA purposes. Additional math functions can be applied to measurements. Example: multiply result by a user defined factor or define a reference value to compare against.
