1 E.0 Demonstration Board AN 0 Dec, 0 E.0 Power LIN.X Stepper with Stall Detection What you get. Demoboard E.0 What you need in addition. V Power Supply, capable of providing the motor current. Bipolar stepper motor. Optionally Elmos USB<->LIN Converter V for LIN communication/programming. Optionally JTAG programmer GED-Blaster Rev. for software development. Connectors. Connect power supply to X and X. The red connector X is VBAT, the black connector X is.. The bipolar stepper motor must be connected either to the 0pin tub plug (see enclosed schematic for right connection) or to the solder terminations, A,, B. Sensors can be connected to pin D at connector X.. X is the LIN Master connector. Optionally connect a USB<->LIN V converter to X and close Jumper J to supply from the X connector in order to update the flash memory with the LIN Boot Manager Module. Open Jumper J if E.0 demo board is supplied externally!. X is the LIN Slave connector.. JTAG pins are available at connector X0, suitable for the JTAG programmer GED-Blaster Rev. 2 E.0 Demonstration Board AN 0 Dec, 0 The program in the _bmm_service folder allows Flash and EEPROM programming. The _firmware folder contains firmware files and the lin-bmmflash tool working perfectly together with the USB<->LIN Converter V. The _gedtest folder contains the GUI for the enclosed firmware files and the _usb_lin_driver contains the driver files for the FT used in the USB<->LIN high speed V converter. Every folder contains a detailed explanation. The standard_actuator firmware is default programmed in the E.0 Demo Boards and this LIN protocol is compatible to the functionality of the IC 0. LIN Stepper Demonstrator (Standard) = K LIN Stepper Demonstrator (Generic) = K LIN Stepper Demonstrator with Software Development Tool Chain (Standard) = K LIN Stepper Demonstrator with Software Development Tool Chain (Generic) = K0-000 Start of operation. Connect bipolar stepper motor driver to connector X or to the solder terminations, A,, B. Remove Jumper J (default). Connect X to and X to typically V. Connect USB cable of Elmos USB<->LIN Converter V to PC USB socket and connect the supply cable from the ELMOS USB<->LIN Converter V to X of the E.0 demo board.. Start gedtest.exe from standard_actuator\_gedtest folder (standard_actuator firmware is default programmed in the E.0 device on the Demo Board). A window with available devices will pop up, choose Elmos USB<->LIN high speed V device and press OK. The Standard actuator Elmos E.0 window will pop up and show the EEPROM settings of the standard actuator firmware. To move the motor enter a valid number in a LIN_PID_SET_POS field and press the corresponding Set button. For further detailed explanation refer to 0-standard-actuator-ui.pdf in the standard_actuator\_gedtest folder. Figure.
