4 State-of-the-art manufacturing capabilities Extensive and continued investment in our manufacturing plant and processes ensures we produce high quality products at optimum speed and efficiency. That investment includes over 4 million on a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant, equipped with the most sophisticated sheet metal forming machinery, automated pipe bending equipment and the latest CNC machines. However, investment in our manufacturing infrastructure is only part of the story. Recent investment in the latest IFS manufacturing enterprise system, ensures we utilise the latest computer technology to improve our products, internal procedures and efficiency. All our computerised IFS and manufacturing systems are fully integrated with AutoCAD and Radan facilities, optimising our efficiency even further. As a company we are acutely aware of the speed of change in today s highly competitive market place. In order to remain a leading-edge air handling equipment manufacturer, we continually review and invest in all aspects of the business, placing a high priority on our manufacturing capabilities. 02

5 Research and development Competing in a rapidly changing, highly competitive marketplace demands a fast track, continuous development approach. Innovative product design and development is crucial to Weatherite s success. We have highly skilled, dedicated teams who work closely with sales, operations and maintenance teams, to ensure we remain at the forefront of the air movement industry. We have the capability to design a system that meets our customers specific requirements, which is demonstrated by the fact we provide bespoke solutions to our clients. And with over 30 years experience working within a number of key sectors, we have a vast amount of knowledge and expertise to call upon. Technology plays a key role in our continuous development programme. With energy saving and environmental considerations driving the agenda, we are proud of our record. Energy efficiency is key to our R & D activities, with the development of products such as high efficiency motors, low energy fans, EC motor technology and variable speed drives. We will continue to work closely with our supplier partners to ensure the delivery of energy efficient, environmentally friendly solutions. Working in partnership with the leading BMS control systems companies, we incorporate fully web-enabled controllers within many of our systems. Using ethernet technology together with the on-board web server within the control unit, the system can be interrogated via any PC, PDA or laptop from any location, allowing settings to be adjusted remotely where necessary. 7 Rooftop packaged cooling units Weatherite s energy efficient packaged air conditioning units are designed to satisfy the fast build requirements of today s highly competitive construction industry. The units are manufactured and fully tested within the factory prior to delivery, minimising site installation time and associated costs. Because we specialise in bespoke solutions, our units are designed and manufactured to meet the customers exact needs. This includes packaged direct expansion refrigeration systems, gas, electric or water heating mediums, latest control systems and electrical wiring. Many packages offer free cooling and include digital programmable controls, enhancing energy management and associated cost savings. Utilising the latest technology we can also offer high efficiency plug fans and the latest webenabled control systems, allowing remote monitoring of the plant. Designed for a wide variety of commercial, retail and leisure applications, the Weatherite range offers the ideal solution. 8 Packaged heat pumps Cooling units for telecommunications Packaged heat pumps us to offer exactly the right solution every time by customising our unit configuration to suit each application. The high level of component specification built into our range of packaged air handling units ensures longer life expectancy, lower energy usage and lower costs for the product s lifetime. All our units are designed with energy saving being a prime concern. High strength double skin panels, incorporating in-fill material provide excellent thermal and acoustic properties. Our units can be constructed to suit any configuration including horizontal, vertical, pre-built or flat-pack with a galvanised or coated finish. The Weatherite range of packaged heat pumps is designed to cater for a range of applications and incorporate fully programmable digital control technology. Cooling units for telecommunications The Weatherite range of fully packaged cooling units has been specifically designed for today s hi-tech telecommunications sector and incorporates the latest state-of-the-art componentry, ensuring we keep pace with today s advancing telecommunications industry. The range includes both DX and chilled water variants with up flow and down flow configurations. All units are designed to utilise free cooling from outside air where possible. 06

9 Air and water-cooled equipment Packaged plant rooms All our units are fully tested and pre-commissioned in the factory prior to despatch and require only the connection of ductwork, condensate drain, power supply and final commissioning, helping minimise site installation time and associated costs. With energy efficiency and lifecycle cost savings being of paramount importance to all our customers, our product range incorporates the latest EC fan technology as standard. This enables exceptional energy savings, quiet operation and a high level of efficiency and speed control. Payback time for the cost of the EC fan motor technology is typically returned several times over by power savings during the lifetime of the fan. All our units also include the latest state-of-theart intelligent control technology, ensuring further energy savings, optimal working environment and significant time and cost savings. 10 Supply and extract units Bespoke replacement products Supply and extract units We manufacture a wide variety of supply and extract units to meet any application. Models include gas fired, low temperature hot water and electric mediums to meet the customer s exact specifications. Bespoke replacement products Today, many end users are experiencing problems with equipment installed 15 to 20 years ago, which has become unreliable and inefficient. As a consequence, many managers are faced with frequent breakdowns and mounting service and maintenance costs. At the same time, the economic pressures on businesses today also mean that managers are reluctant to go for a completely new installation in view of the cost and of course, the downtime and disruption involved in ripping out the old equipment and starting again from scratch which, in many cases would have a marked impact on their short-term revenue generation. In certain cases, the manufacturer/supplier of the original plant might not be around. It may also be the case that the original manufacturer has, over the years, switched to other design configurations for its standard product range and can no longer offer a replacement to the original unit/s, resulting in only being able to offer a completely new system solution (i.e. unit, ductwork, gas/water pipes, cabling, etc). However, Weatherite can offer a bespoke replacement package, saving substantial installation costs and associated downtime. Furthermore, utilising the latest technology, Weatherite s replacement units are far more efficient and reliable than the units being replaced, again producing long-term energy and cost savings. Also, additional cooling capacity and noise reduction can be achieved, still utilising the existing footprint. We can also offer a flat-pack installation service, negating the requirement for opening up doorways/brickwork etc. 08

11 By choosing a Weatherite replacement solution, the customer is receiving a high quality, factorytested unit incorporating a wide range of up-todate technological features, often installed over a weekend with very little disruption to their business activities and with considerable capital cost and energy savings compared with a completely new installation. Air cooled condensers and condensing units This series of weatherproof air cooled condensing units provides a comprehensive range with capacities from 6.0kw to 75kw operating with residential noise levels. High efficiency scroll compressors are used throughout the range, ensuring maximum energy efficiency and optimal operating levels.
