32 Purpose: Our aim Encourage development of well-structured addresses, addressing processes and availability and efficient use of harmonized and good quality address data using INSPIRE framework and related standards for the benefit of citizens, business and government.

33 Objectives: What? Support & monitor INSPIRE implementation. Build on EURADIN; Share knowledge and exchange views between data producers and users; Consider appropriate referencing and quality assessment methodologies; Offer a knowledge base. Promote core standards, specifications, and technical developments; Combine awareness raising with encouraging real-world implementations.

Establishing Europe-wide network of experts; Producing and maintaining online information resource; Publishing periodic e-newsletter, presenting papers at relevant events; Initiating surveys, position papers and reports on the state of play on addressing issues in EU member states; Sharing experiences and Best Practice Liaising with EU institutions for INSPIRE (Addresses); Connecting with regional and global initiatives on addressing

35 The value of EAF: Why? Maximise the value of exchanging and sharing experience; provide a platform for members wanting national support; build international awareness (eg through an annual conference); Raise the profile of Best Practice; reinforce the need to adopt of relevant standards; support the realization of INSPIRE.

36 Members: Who? Anybody involved in addressing open to European citizens and organisations that have a responsibility for or professional interest in addressing and address data: public, private, voluntary, research or academic sectors or society at large

37 Resources and Funding Human resources: EAF success depends upon its members (expected to invest some time, energy and ideas in the Forum). Financial resources: Initially, no membership subscriptions: Members may wish to sponsor workshops and conferences. Once the EAF is consolidated, a more formal association may be born: Membership fee? Other funding sources will be explored (from public bodies, EU funding, sponsors ).

39 Management structure Initially: lightweight, enetwork organization. Pre-formation phase (until June 2010): EAF s activities coordinated by a sub-group of EURADIN s members with exofficio members from outside EURADIN interested in becoming involved: EAF Core Group From June 2010 (EAF official launch): President proposed Management Board proposed Secretariat proposed Meetings and other physical gatherings: at other European events or appropriate regional or national events. Once the EAF is consolidated: members may need to consider new management structures in the Statutes.
