1 March 26, West Deer Valley Road Phoenix, AZ Planned Development Services Attn: Vern N. 83rd Ave., Suite 200 Peoria, AZ Re: Cox Communications Upgrade La Morada Dear Vern, As part of the Cox Communications roadmap for Arizona, we began offering 1 Gig Internet service to residential customers in the Phoenix Metropolitan area in late Over the next several weeks, Cox Communications qualified technicians will be optimizing our equipment and upgrading our network in the Public Utility Easement (PUE) throughout the La Morada community to provide your residents with 1 Gig Internet service. Cox Communications will provide advanced notification to current customers through postcards that will be mailed prior to any work beginning in their area. A few days prior to the start of construction activities, all residents in the area where work will be performed will receive a door hanger with the name and telephone number of the contractor that will be performing the work. The contractor assigned to the La Morada community is CanEZ and can be reached at (623) The Cox construction contact is Jose Aguirre and can be reached at (602) Residents will notice vehicles from both companies in the community during this time. Depending upon the current infrastructure we have in the community, we may have to place additional conduit in the PUE. Our first option is to bore to place this additional conduit, but depending upon the ground conditions, we may have to do an open trench. This type of work, if needed, is a little more invasive and requires additional crew members and equipment on site. Once construction has completed for the day, our crews will make sure to clean-up prior to leaving the site. All landscaping, streets, sidewalks, etc. will be restored to its original condition once all construction has been completed. Enclosed you will find samples of the communications being used to notify your residents and FAQ s regarding the upgrade. Proactively notifying your residents about this work prevents anyone from being alarmed by our presence in your community. Feel free to review these materials at your convenience. 2 FAQ s Regarding Construction Why is Cox performing work in my neighborhood? Over the next few weeks, Cox Communications will be upgrading our network in your neighborhood to provide our customers with 1 Gig internet services. Now, more than ever, Cox s residential customers are using the Internet for entertainment, commerce, communication and education in their homes, and they are asking for increased speeds and greater bandwidth. How is Cox notifying residents of construction activity? Cox Communications is providing advanced notification to current customers through postcards and auto-dialed recorded messages. Prior to the start of construction activity in a neighborhood, all residents will receive a door hanger with the name and telephone number of the contractor that will be performing the work in their neighborhood. Should residents have any questions related to the construction activities, they should please contact the contractor directly. Why is Cox working in my yard? To conduct this work, we will need to access our pedestals and equipment cabinets located within public utility easements or near public streets. Why are you digging in my yard and/or in the area? Construction of this nature may involve digging, changing out electronics, and/or integrating newly installed cable within the public utility easements adjacent to your property. We apologize for the inconvenience and our crews will make every effort to minimize the disruption and will ensure all landscaping will be restored to its original condition. Why are you replacing my current pedestal with a larger one? In order to provide faster and more reliable internet speeds, we have to install additional equipment inside our pedestals. This new equipment is larger and takes up more room. In order to be able to properly secure and protect our equipment, we have to replace the smaller existing pedestals with the newer pedestal. How long will you be conducting work in my area? Construction of this nature is typically completed over several weeks. Will Cox customers experience service interruptions during construction? At times, the network upgrade may require interruptions in service. Our crews will make every effort to minimize any disruptions and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Gigablast will enhance the customer experience by: Offering speeds as fast as 1 Gig per second - will deliver more speed, a powerful home network and rich broadband enabled services to customers. Providing one terabyte of cloud storage, Cox Security Suite and Family Protection and 10 boxes each with 15 gigabytes of storage. Allowing customers to power all of their devices to keep everyone streaming, posting, gaming, sharing and synching. When does Cox expect to start delivering 1 Gig services to customers?
